  • 14.06.2019

The question of how to move correctly begins to worry long before the move. Even being skeptics, often people at the entrance to new apartment experience excitement and believe in inexplicable phenomena. Compliance with certain kinds of recommendations can significantly reduce the degree of intensity of passions and somewhat calm the state of mind. In addition, the peculiar "rituals", which many treat with a healthy dose of skepticism, are easily doable. So why not observe these marvelous traditions, so as not to justify the troubles later.

If you are not the first owner of a new home

Any new dwelling for people is a completely different tangle of energy lines, which harbors, for example, quarrels and disagreements of former residents. We are talking about a house purchased on the secondary market.

As they say, walls store and absorb energy, and if it was negative, the new owners will face a constantly depressed atmosphere, despondency, unfortunate events, and poor health. There is no clear answer to the question of how to move correctly, but doing what you can is simply necessary, at least in order to fill new house positive.

Why not live in an "unprepared" apartment?

“Houses and walls help” - perhaps everyone has come across such a saying. So, the reverse would also be correct. If a person moved into a room in which the family suffered due to disagreements or constant quarrels, then his life will soon change, but, unfortunately, not in better side. The negative aura of objects and even the walls themselves will crush, deprive the craving for life, activity. From a young, cheerful person, you can turn into an old man, who himself will seek “feeding” from relatives, become angry and irritable.

As a result, this will end in health problems, since it is impossible to constantly be under psychological pressure without consequences for the body. Among the recommendations on how to properly move to a new apartment, the first should be cleaning, both energetic and physical.

Cleaning the house

It is necessary to get rid of the belongings of past tenants. If they want, let them take them for themselves, but as soon as possible. The longer the rubbish is stored in a new apartment, the worse it is, it leads to a layering of impressions, "clutter" in the mind and soul, spoils the mood. Here are some interesting recommendations regarding things left by the former owners. And also let's talk about the signs and how to move to a new apartment, following them.

Care must be taken to ensure that all old things are in the trash or in the garage of the previous tenants. Particular attention should be paid to old photos and personal items. In no case should you use household items, their photo frames, combs, wear clothes. You should also be wary of mirrors, since, according to signs, they are the door to the other world and keep the old energy in themselves. General cleaning is a key sign in order to properly move to another apartment. The first thing to do is a general cleaning. It is necessary to conduct it both in the old place of housing and in the new one.

Need to say goodbye

We continue to figure out how to move correctly. It is extremely important to conduct a farewell ritual. It’s not enough just to sweep the floors, you need to literally clean everything and carefully check so that not even a couple of personal knick-knacks are left anywhere. An unkind person can easily use them against you.

In addition, it is important to put the house in order also spiritually, for example, using incense and church candles. By cleaning up energy waste, people leave the room clean, while protecting themselves from extraneous influence or even direct harm. In this case, the key sign on how to move correctly lies in the purity of the process itself, when a person is not dragged along by emotional baggage and all sorts of experiences from past housing.

Last meal and brownie

At the old place of residence, it is simply necessary to spend the last meal, almost all signs speak of this. We continue to give advice on how to move to a new apartment. So, the demon of old emotional ties with housing can be done by simply taking the brownie with you. This good spirit will act as a protector of the new home, as well as providing a sense of comfort and security. It is possible to crank out his resettlement without unnecessary difficulties. How to do it?

You need to take a broom with you from the old housing, after sweeping the floors there. As for the delicacy, the best option there will be a pie. Learning to move correctly. This will not only leave beautifully, but also delicious. If life in old apartment was bitter, then you need to cook something salty, while if you live well - sweet. The whole family should have dinner when everything is already cleaned. After that, you need to collect the crumbs, wash and clean the apartment, thereby completing the farewell ritual.

Animal in a new home

It is extremely important, before the settlement begins, to let a cat, kitten or dog into the house. Perhaps everyone has heard that the animal allows you to protect the house from negative energy and make its aura cleaner. Cats in this case are better suited, as they are more attached to their own housing, and therefore will defend it more willingly. In addition, many legends endow them with sacred meaning and mystical abilities.

Psychologists also recommend getting an animal in a new place, you can even have a hamster or fish. Availability extra life, when a person is at work or has gone on business, will make the apartment warmer, more comfortable and cozier. Asking the question of how to move to another city correctly, we get the answer: the same way. The same traditions must be observed.

A few signs for well-being

Among the recommendations on how to move correctly, there are several tips for ensuring well-being in a new place of residence. So, for example, you need to throw a few coins into the house after the animal, which should subsequently be hidden and securely guarded. They will serve as a guarantee of the well-being and well-being of future residents. In addition, it will never be superfluous to hang a horseshoe over the front door for good luck. If the sign itself is known, then few people pay attention to its features. You can often see how it hangs with its ends down, covered in dust and dirt. This cannot be allowed.

It should be nailed as securely as possible, of course, with the “horns” up and constantly kept clean. Then luck will never forget the way to the house of new tenants and will follow them on their heels. It is better to start the process of moving directly in the morning, the sooner the better. It would be useful to get up at dawn and complete things before dusk, then everything in the hands of the tenants will literally argue. The most favorable day for such an event is Saturday, you should not move on Monday, as this may ruin the upcoming working week.

In the new apartment everything should be updated

It is not necessary to immediately do all the repairs, although this will have a positive effect on the energy of the house, but something needs to be done. Otherwise, residents will face constant apathy, laziness, attachment to old experiences and things, which is not good.

As you can see, there are a lot of tips on how to move correctly, but whether to follow them or not is up to everyone. But in the end, only one thing can be said: do not neglect what is easy to do. Indeed, in the end, this will only benefit the residents themselves and provide a pleasant family atmosphere in the new house.

How to say goodbye to an old house?

The wisdom of past generations often comes to contemporaries encrypted - in the form of superstitions. Many signs are logically justified, some seem completely absurd. For example, according to folk beliefs, house spirits live in houses, losing which when moving is considered a big failure.

Brownies, despite the name, are not tied to housing, but to the host people, so the spirits can be taken to a new home. The most common way is to “invite” the brownie aloud to a box with soft things, put up half an hour before leaving at the doorstep.

Rumor has it that brownies love a variety of panicles and even live in them; if there is a broom in the house, be sure to take it away for a housewarming party so as not to deprive the housekeeper of his home. It is believed that the owners take away troubles with spirits, and therefore, before leaving, it is worth cleaning and repairing the remaining household utensils. A leaking faucet and cracked glass in the windows will also appear in the new house, if you do not get rid of them in the old one.

road signs

There are many "travel" superstitions; most are versatile and go well with such a non-standard journey as moving.

  • If it rains on the way, everything will turn out fine. But precautions should not be neglected: you can easily slip in a puddle, injuring yourself and breaking the load you are carrying, no matter how successful the day is.
  • Just before leaving, you need to sit at the door for a minute, preferably on your suitcases. The ritual is useful even without a metaphysical background - they usually squat “on the track” silently, and it’s easier to remember an important call, an unswitched tap or a forgotten hiding place.
  • If the first person you meet on the road is a beggar, a pregnant woman or a dog, the owners will receive good news soon after moving in. But an encounter with a monk, funeral procession or a young girl - already a warning from higher powers about "bad stars" on the day of the move.
  • The ideal time to leave is early morning - right at dawn. The earlier the tenants leave, the better and richer, according to popular beliefs, their life will be in a new place. In the evening, leaving and taking something out of the house is considered a bad omen.

There are other road taboos - for example, on the day of departure, you can not sew, wash and wash your hair.

"Rituals" of new settlers

There are other signs: it is not enough to know how to move into an apartment - some “rituals” will be required. So, in a new home, you should let the cat in first. You cannot borrow an animal for moving - you need your own pet. It is also forbidden to push him - the cat must enter of its own free will; throwing a tasty bait with superstition, however, is not forbidden.

The dog, on the contrary, should be let into the apartment only after people - otherwise the brownies will perceive the person who entered as a stranger and will harm him for a long time. Well, according to the "canon", on the night before the transportation of things into the house, a live rooster should be let in - to disperse evil spirits.

In addition to "animal" rituals, a set of actions after the move is also important.

  • Immediately after entering, spend in the apartment wet cleaning- so you clean it from someone else's energy and prepare it for a new owner.
  • In the following days, if the previous tenants left behind broken furniture, plumbing, etc., take care of repairs. As they say, "the faucet is flowing - the money is flowing out of the wallet."
  • The same applies to broken dishes, broken windows and other cracks in glass and ceramics - if possible, you need to get rid of broken things immediately, and all rubbish found in the process of moving must be ruthlessly eliminated.
  • The brownie should be fed after arrival, leaving flour, milk, buckwheat, bread and butter and red wine on the table for the night.

If you do everything right, you will make a significant contribution to the well-being of the house. The "bonus" of these rituals is prophetic dream first night in a new place.

"Golden" customs

Most of the signs, one way or another, are connected with financial well-being. There are many recommendations among the people on how to move to a new apartment in order to have money. In the context of the move, the following “recipe” is used: on the first day of a housewarming party, you need to throw a handful of coins on the floor from behind the threshold. After that, you can not sweep the house for several days. Subsequently collected coins must be hidden in all secluded places of the dwelling - in ancient times they were inserted into the cracks between the floorboards or embedded in pliable clay walls, but in modern houses you can even use the space behind the plinth.

To attract wealth, jugs filled with money are also used, in which placers of coins made of metals are stored separately. different color. Banknote under the tablecloth dining table will also bring wealth to the owners - but it is strictly forbidden to remove it from the table. Some money will need to be left in the old house; Here the "boomerang rule" works - giving, you receive.

Magic talismans for all occasions

How to move to another apartment, while maintaining complete harmony with the laws of the universe? Our ancestors placed amulets throughout the house, and when moving, they decorated the house with them as early as possible. One of the main protective talismans is traditionally considered a horseshoe above the door - always nailed or glued with "horns" up.

Folk customs, including those that have developed in modern times, provide for many "magic" items:

  • wreaths of straw with seeds and beads woven into them, bunches of St. John's wort, willow, juniper, wormwood and thistle in the corners will scare away evil spirits;
  • clay pots with salt and cereals, corn on the cob and bunches of pepper and garlic will make sure that the tenants of the house will never be hungry;
  • figurines of spirits, home-made ten-handled dolls and a small broom suspended in a corner under the ceiling will appease the brownie;
  • bast shoes and miniature hats hanging in the hallway protect residents from failures and send home those who have lost their way (for example, in a snowstorm);
  • a knife is placed under the threshold after entering - it is believed that unkind people and evil spirits will not be able to cross it.

In general, you can use any amulets. Feng Shui symbols, incense, Egyptian figurines and Jewish anchovies will bring good luck to those who believe in their power.

Some rituals when moving to a new apartment

As we have already found out, moving from one place to another is not an easy task, a responsible one. Do not forget anything, pack everything carefully, deliver it safely and, finally, place it in its place - this is just a dry summary of the sequence of actions, and how many laborious processes are behind these words ... And yet, most people still find time for one more action, usually we call it rituals.

At the same time, some rituals when moving to a new apartment are not meaningless, while others cause bewilderment and slight shock - there is no clear answer how to relate to this. Out of pure curiosity, you can walk through several of them, at least in order to smile, or maybe become interested.

Moving to a new apartment conditionally includes three stages:

Actions at the old place (collection of things, loading);
transportation;
actions in a new place (unloading, arranging things).

In this chronological order, we will consider some of the rituals when moving.

One of the curious rituals is advice from the teachings of Feng Shui, to which more and more people have been listening lately. You are invited to bake a loaf, pie, cake or something like that from the dough according to the recipe of your choice. The only condition is that the shape of your baking should resemble a house. It is recommended to eat it immediately before moving, thus you carry with you the very essence of the house where you lived.

Another ritual of moving is from the category of more mystical ones. In a vessel, preferably made of glass or ceramics, you carry salt around the old house, mentally imagining how it absorbs all the energy of your life in this house, all emotions, negative and positive. Let the salt stand in a dark place for a while, imagining how your old house from everything that was. At sunset, in a deserted place, this salt should be buried and left without looking back. After that, you need to wash your hands.

As for rituals in a new place, the most favorite of them is housewarming. It is useful and pleasant in all respects - housewarming will help you get to know your future neighbors and psychologically adapt to a new place. It is not surprising that this ritual not only took root, but also became obligatory.

It is also recommended, upon arrival at a new place of residence, to announce your presence by taking several consecutive steps. It is necessary to open the windows in all rooms, turn on the light in each of them, drain some water. This ritual is useful because at the same time you check the health of all appliances and devices.

You can go on endlessly listing rituals that share one common property - they are all designed to bring prosperity to your new home and preserve as much as possible the good that was in your old home. You just need to remember that only you yourself can do it better than rituals.

Moving to a new apartment: interesting signs

An important sign when moving, especially if you move into an apartment after the old owners, is getting rid of the accumulated negative energy. To do this, it is very important to do a general cleaning immediately after the move, thoroughly washing the floors, wiping the dust in all places.

We also know from our grandmothers that in a new house a horseshoe can be hung over the front door, this should be done with the horns down. This sign is connected with the fact that happiness and prosperity reigned in a new apartment or house.

But from evil forces and evil spirits in the old days hung bundles of St. John's wort in houses - this is the so-called amulet.

The sign, according to which, when moving, you should be the first to let a cat into the house will help your new home become hospitable. Therefore, they say that the cat should come in by itself, it is enough just to put it at the door. In general, a lot of signs and even superstitions are associated with a cat. Some look closely at her behavior in a new place, remember the places that she has chosen. For example, in the place where the cat fell asleep for the first time, they put a bed. But this is not always correct, because the bed is located according to the principles of Feng Shui in the bedroom, and according to other signs. Well, what if the cat fell asleep in the kitchen or in the bathroom? Of course, you won't sleep there!

How to take your brownie from the old to the new apartment

It is unlikely that today many people pay attention to this fad, but in the old days they didn’t squeeze it into a new dwelling without a brownie at all - they had to lure it with them by any means.

In general, a brownie is your friend and buddy, who not only protects the house from trouble, but also takes care of the household. And when you are friends with him, you probably noticed that you live well. Therefore, it is important to take your friend, the brownie, to your new apartment when moving. The easiest way to do this is, after collecting things, put front door a box in which soft things will be folded, and then leave it for at least 10-15 minutes. Your brownie will definitely climb into this box and go with you. And some beliefs convince us that in order to move along with your brownie, it is enough to grab a broom from the old apartment.

One way or another, but after arrival it is necessary to let the brownie in. Place the same box at the entrance and open it. Then pour milk into a saucer and place it on the floor. The brownie will certainly go to feast from your caring hands, especially since he could get hungry on the road.

What to unpack first when moving

So, the car with all the good you have acquired drove into the yard of your new home. But it's too early to relax. You have to unload and arrange things, and it depends on how successful the move to your new apartment will be. We hope that you have prudently numbered your boxes of things, and the most prudent ones also wrote a list of all the things on the box for convenience. Then the final stage of the move will not raise questions and will not take much time. You only need to decide which things to unpack first.

First of all, you need to unload from the car all the items that will interfere with the removal of furniture. It can be fragile chandeliers, TV, houseplants and so on - all this can be temporarily placed on the ground or on a bench near the house. Now you can take out and deliver the furniture to the house. As furniture is brought in, it should be immediately unpacked and inspected for damage in transit. It will be easy if you have an inspection report drawn up during the collection. Furniture is recommended to be assembled, if required, and arranged with the help of loaders immediately to where it will be in the future. This is best planned in advance and included in the moving plan. If you do not have a plan, just keep this information in mind and control each mover with furniture, giving them instructions on how to arrange items.

If necessary, you can walk with a damp cloth on the outer surface of the furniture and wipe the shelves in the cabinets.

After the initial arrangement of furniture and unpacking things from the boxes, it's time to get rid of the now unnecessary containers in the form of countless boxes and a pile of packaging material. As soon as the maximum space is freed up, it will not be superfluous to wipe the floors. However, this must be done after installing the cornices, installing blinds or hanging curtains on the windows.

The question of which things to unpack first has already lost its relevance, and it is the turn of those things that are orphanedly awaiting their fate on the street. Bring in a TV, plants, a vacuum cleaner, bedside tables, ottomans, chairs, in general, everything that is left. When the last thing is brought in, and your act, the entire list of things is marked with a tick, it remains to take a look at everything again with the owner's eye and sign the act on the completion of work with a calm soul in order to let the loaders go and stay with your family.

A A

Anyone who has had to move to a new apartment at least once in their life knows the feeling of “prostration” that arises when looking at numerous things in closets, bedside tables and shelves. Moving is not in vain “equal to one fire” - some things are lost, some beat and break on the road, and some just disappear somewhere in an unknown way. There is no need to talk about the amount of effort and nerves expended.

To your attention - the main secrets of the correct move!

Preparing to move - what to do first?

The most common mistake people make is packing at the last minute. It would seem, “Yes, everything will be in time!”, But - alas and ah - the result of the fees in the last hours before the arrival of the car is always equally deplorable.

Therefore, it is better to start preparing in advance.

About a month before the planned move, the most important things to do are:

  • Terminate all contracts (note - with the landlord, with companies providing cable TV, telephone, Internet, etc.) so that in the new apartment you are not required to pay money for services that continue to be provided in the old one under existing contracts.
  • Throw away everything you don't need , and everything that can interfere with the new owners.
  • Clearly define the date of the move , conclude an agreement with the relevant moving company and inform those who will help you with the move to your new home.
  • Sell furniture (clothes, washing/sewing machine, other things) that you don't want to take with you, but that still look pretty decent. It is better not to set high prices, so that later you do not have to leave these things in the old apartment for free. It’s better to let them “fly away” at a modest price than no one will buy them at all. And remember: if you haven’t used a thing for more than six months, then you don’t need it - feel free to get rid of it in any convenient way.

One week before moving:

  1. We pack all the things that you will not need in the near future.
  2. Throw away the excess.
  3. We begin to disassemble things, products and furniture in the kitchen.
  4. We buy disposable plates / forks to calmly remove all the dishes from the kitchen.
  5. We connect the Internet in a new apartment so that on the day of the move we do not frantically call companies for this purpose, running between boxes with a useless router.
  6. We clean carpets and wash curtains (save yourself energy in a new place), as well as rewash things that require it.
  7. We do a general cleaning in a new apartment, so as not to waste time on this after the move.

One day before moving:

  • We send children to their grandmother (friends).
  • Defrost the refrigerator.
  • We deal with the keys to the old and new housing ( mailboxes, garages, gates, etc.).
  • We take meter readings (note - we take pictures).
  • We collect the rest of the things.

7 secrets of preparing for the move, which will make your life easier and the fees themselves

  • Revision. Moving is a great way to get rid of excess junk. Starting to sort things to pack them for the move, immediately put a large box “to throw away” or “give to the neighbors”. Surely, you have things (clothes, tiles, lamp, toys, etc.) that you do not need in a new apartment. Give them to those in need and do not drag excess trash into a new apartment. Toys can be given to an orphanage, decent things can be sold on the relevant sites, and old blankets / rugs can be taken to a dog shelter.
  • Box with documents. We collect it especially carefully so that we can take it with us to the car on the day of the move. Put all the documents that you have into folders, label them and put them in one box. Naturally, you need to do this not the day before the move.
  • Box of "1st Necessity". So we label it. In this necessary box, when moving, you can easily find a first aid kit, toothbrushes and toilet paper, a set of changeable clothes for each family member, the most necessary products (sugar, salt, coffee / tea), towels, pet food and other important things.
  • Box with valuables. Here we put all our gold with diamonds, if any, and other valuable items that are expensive or have a different value for you personally. This box should also be taken with you (we don’t shove it into the general “heap” in the truck, but take it with us to the salon).
  • Disassemble the furniture. Do not rely on chance and do not be too lazy to take it apart, so that later you do not cry over a torn sofa, a broken table and chips on a rare chest of drawers. old furniture it makes no sense to disassemble and drag it with you from chipboard - just distribute it to your neighbors or leave it near the garbage heap (whoever needs it will pick it up himself).
  • Do not make large purchases in the week before moving. Do not make food stocks either - this is excess weight and space in the truck. It is better to replenish the bins in a new place.
  • Prepare food the day before moving (there will be no time to cook!) and pack it in a cooler bag. Nothing is more inspiring in a new place after a move than a delicious dinner.

Collection and packing of things for the move - boxes, bags, tape

Collecting things that you have acquired in an old apartment even for 1 year is almost impossible in 1 day.

Therefore, the ideal time to "start" - a week before moving. The most important thing when collecting things is packaging.

Therefore, we start with boxes and other items for a comfortable move:

  1. Searching or buying carton boxes (preferably sturdy and with holes for easy carrying). Most often, boxes are given away for free in hypermarkets or local stores (ask store administrators). Estimate the volume of your things and take boxes according to this volume. On average, it takes about 20-30 large boxes to pack things from a 2-room apartment in which a large family with pets lives. It is not recommended to take giant boxes - they are inconvenient to carry and difficult to lift, in addition, they often tear under the weight of things.
  2. Do not spare money for a wide quality adhesive tape! You will need it in in large numbers, and not just to seal boxes. And preferably with a dispenser, then the work will go much faster.
  3. Also, you can not do without cardboard "gaskets" (newspaper, wrapping paper), twine, ordinary stretch thin film and a pack of transparent bags.
  4. Special film with "pimples" , which everyone likes to click so much, we buy in large quantities.
  5. Multi-colored markers and stickers will not interfere either.
  6. For packing furniture you need a dense fabric (old curtain sheets, for example), as well as thick film (as for greenhouses).
  7. For heavy items, we allocate bags and suitcases (the boxes may not withstand them), or we put the weights in small and strong boxes, after which we carefully fix them with tape and twine.

General work plan:

  • We reinforce all boxes with good adhesive tape, paying special attention to the bottom of the container. You can also make pens out of it if there are no holes on the boxes themselves (or you can make these holes yourself with a clerical knife).
  • We allocate separate room(or part of it) for packed items.
  • We buy a notebook for notes, where there will be all the information on bills, movers, counters and the things themselves.

On a note:

If you use costumes, you will be glad to know that there are cardboard "cupboards" for safe transportation expensive things right on the hangers.

How to move and not forget anything - lists of things, labeling boxes and much more

In order not to search painfully for a long time in a new apartment for clothespins or tights in all the boxes that no one ever takes apart right away (usually it takes from a week to a month, and for especially lucky ones - up to a year), Use the rules of proper packing of things:

  • We mark the boxes with stickers and markers. For example, red is for the kitchen, green is for the bathroom, and so on. Do not forget to duplicate each box in a notebook.
  • Be sure to put the number on the box (on each side of the box, so that later you don’t have to twist it in search of a number!) and duplicate it in a notebook along with a list of things. If you are not shy about movers and are not afraid that “things will be stolen”, then a list with things can also be glued to the box. In a notebook, you should have all the boxes with all the lists of things. The numbering of the boxes is also useful in that it will be easier for you to check in a new place whether all the things have been brought into the apartment.
  • Life hack: not to look for clothespins and washing powder, pack them right in the drum washing machine. Tea and sugar can be put in a teapot, and a pack of coffee can be put in a box with a Turkish coffee grinder. The cat carrier can hold bedding, bowls and pet food. And so on, with other things.
  • When folding wires from appliances and gadgets, try not to confuse them. In a separate box - a scanner with wires, in another - a computer with its own wires, in separate packages, phones and other gadgets - each with its own charger. If you are afraid to get confused, immediately take a picture of the area where the wires are connected to the equipment. This cheat sheet can make life easier for you after you move.
  • Load bedding separately with towels and blankets with pillows.
  • Don't forget to set aside a separate toolbox as well. and little things needed for repairs, you will need it almost immediately after moving.

House moving - preparing furniture for transportation

Do not rely on "strong" furniture and "caring" loaders.

If your furniture is dear to you, then take care of its safety before moving.

  • Everything that is disassembled is disassembled, packaged and labeled. For example, we disassemble the table into parts, each one is packed in a special thick paper or cardboard ( perfect option- pimply film), each detail is marked with the letter "C" (table). We put the accessories from the table in a separate bag, twist it and fix it on one of the parts. Ideally, if you can fix all the details together or put them in narrow boxes. Don't forget the instructions! If they are preserved, put them in a bag with fittings, so that later it would be easier to assemble furniture. Place furniture keys and other quick assembly tools in the 1st Essentials box (described above).
  • We wrap sofas and armchairs with thick fabric , on top with a thick film and wrap it with tape. We do the same with mattresses.
  • We wrap all handles on doors and drawers cling film or foam rubber so as not to scratch other things.
  • If you do not pull out the drawers from the chest of drawers (table) be sure to secure them so that they do not fall out when carrying. Also fix all the doors on the furniture - on the kitchen and so on.
  • Remove all glass and mirrors from furniture and pack separately . Usually they fight first if the owners leave them in the closets.

If you are sending things to another city by container, then pay special attention to packing furniture and boxes!

Moving to a new apartment and pets - what you need to remember?

Of course, the ideal option is to send pets and children to relatives during the move. Firstly, it will be easier for parents, and secondly, it will protect children and animals from accidental injuries.

But if this is not possible, then use the "reminder" for moving with pets:

  1. Don't swear at pets. For them, the move itself is stressful. Their attention to things and boxes is quite natural. Don't yell or yell. Remember that they will not feed themselves.
  2. Give the animals something to distract them while gathering and running around with the boxes. - a separate box for cats (they love them), toys, bones for dogs.
  3. In advance (a couple of weeks) resolve all issues with the veterinarian, if any. Update the information on the chip (note - phone number, address).
  4. For transporting fish: pour the water from the aquarium into a bucket with a ventilated lid (transplant the fish there too), and transfer the vegetation from it to another container, adding the same water. Divide the soil into bags. The aquarium itself - rinse, dry, wrap with a "pimple" film.
  5. For transporting birds: we wrap the cage with cardboard, and on top with a warm and dense cloth (birds are afraid of drafts).
  6. Rodents can be transported in their own cages , but it is recommended to insulate them if it is too cold outside. In the heat, on the other hand, choose a place for transportation in which it will not be too hot and stuffy (so that the animals do not suffocate).
  7. Do not feed dogs and cats right in front of the road , be sure to walk the dogs, and remove the drinkers for the duration of transportation - or, if it's hot, replace them with wet sponges.
  8. For cats and small dogs, it is better to use rigid carriers. Naturally, it is not recommended to transport them to a new home in the cargo compartment of a car. The best option is to carry pets on your lap.

And do not forget to take a couple of days off to move and unload things in a new place. Moving after a day's work is an ordeal.
