In order to select the most suitable boiler in accordance with the technical characteristics of the building and current regulations, regarding installation gas equipment attention should be paid to the following:

Performance- the calculation is performed according to the formula 1 kW = 10 m² of heated area. If an indirect heating boiler is connected, a power reserve of 10-15% is required.

Construction and adjustment of Ferroli Domina gas boilers

Differential air pressure sensor

The air differential pressure sensor is a safety device, it allows the burner to be ignited only after checking the operation of the fan.

If the difference between the pressure of the outgoing combustion products and the incoming air is not equal to the minimum calibration value of the sensor, then the sensor contacts will remain open and the gas valve will not open.

In addition, the electrical circuit of the boiler is designed in such a way that if the pressure sensor contacts remain closed when the fan stops, the burner will not start.

The principle of operation of the gas boiler Ferroli Domina F24

The Ferroli Domina boiler is suitable for operation on two types of combustible gas: methane or propane (liquefied gas).

The gas mode for operation is selected when ordering or changed at the installation site. The boiler works with advanced systems: electronic control, safety and control equipment.

When the room thermostat calls for heat, the pump and burner are switched on. With the help of an electronic flame modulation system, the boiler output is gradually changed until the set flow temperature is reached.

If the power required in the heating system is lower than minimum power boiler, when the flow temperature exceeds the set value, the burner switches off and electronic system allows it to turn on only after 2 minutes.

When the temperature set on the room thermostat is reached, the burner switches off and the circulation pump continues to operate for another 5 minutes to ensure better heat distribution in the system.

If during the heating phase hot water is drawn for the domestic hot water system, the electrical heating circuit is automatically switched off and the domestic hot water circuit is switched on.

Throughout this stage, the circulation pump of the heating system stops, and the Ferroli Domina boiler supplies water at a set temperature.

The device maintains the water temperature of the water supply system constant, even when taking different quantities, by modulating the torch.

Every time the domestic hot water production ends, the heating pump starts for one second to prevent it from blocking, especially in summer.

Adjustment of Ferroli Domina boilers

Main burner pressure and flow adjustment

Wall-mounted gas boiler Ferroli Domina works on the principle of flame modulation. The system has two fixed pressures, minimum and maximum, which must be the same as indicated for each type of gas.

Adjusting the minimum pressure must be done first to ensure correct ignition of the burner. After that, the maximum pressure is adjusted. Any changes to the minimum pressure affect the maximum pressure value.

Minimum and maximum pressure adjustment with Honeywell V K4105G gas valve:

Connect a suitable pressure gauge to the pressure tap downstream of the gas valve.

Disconnect pressure compensator.

Remove protective cap.

Set the potentiometer (on the main panel) to the minimum value (counterclockwise).

Operate the Ferroli Domina boiler in heating mode.

Adjust the minimum pressure by turning the screw clockwise until the desired value is obtained.

Set the potentiometer (on the main panel) to the maximum value (clockwise).

Adjust the maximum pressure by turning the screw counterclockwise until the desired value is obtained.

Connect pressure compensator.

Replace the protective cap.

Adjustment maximum power heating systems:

This adjustment is carried out only on the electronic board with the adjusting screw РЗ, starting from the system temperature below the maximum of the regulating thermostat (system temperature 50-60°C).

Connect a special pressure gauge to the pressure tap located in front of the gas valve; turn the temperature control screw to the maximum value, then set the desired pressure value.

At the end of this operation, turn on and off the Ferroli Domina boiler 2-3 times using the thermostat. At each start, check that the pressure corresponds to the set value and that the burner ignites correctly.

If necessary, make additional adjustments until the pressure stabilizes at the set value.

When igniting the burner, to control the set pressure, set the control thermostat knob to the maximum value, otherwise errors will occur.

Adjusting the temperature of the heating system and the room:

The water temperature of the heating system is regulated by turning the corresponding knob.

Turning the knob clockwise increases the temperature of the heating water, and turning it counterclockwise decreases it.

The temperature can vary from a minimum of 35°C to a maximum of 85°C. We recommend not to operate the Ferroli Domina boiler at a temperature lower than 45°.

The room temperature is controlled by setting the room thermostat knob to the desired value.

The thermostat automatically controls the boiler, temporarily cutting off the power line, depending on the heat demand of the room.
