God of war 1 full walkthrough. Boss - Lachesis and Atropos

  • 22.09.2019

In God of War, you can find 12 places where treasure maps will lie. Use the hints on the maps to find all the excavation sites. If you find all the treasures, you can unlock the achievement " treasurerHunter / Treasure hunter". None of the maps and dig sites can be missed, as after the story you can continue to explore the world and return to “all” locations.

In the guide below you will find the location of all the places and you can search for them in any order. If you cannot get to any place, then you need to advance further in the story. It's best to start collecting all the collectibles after you've completed the story. In the excavation sites you will find a lot of chopped silver (money) and rare materials.

Gift to the Turtle

Map location:

You can find the map in the Crossing region in the Witch's Cave before entering Odin's Hidden Hall. You have to open the blue (light) and yellow (electric) arrows for Atreus - so you won't be able to get there practically until the very end of the game. From the mystical gate "Witch's Cave: Lower Level", take the elevator up to the main cave. Use Atreus to shoot blue crystals to create light bridges. Walk through them. At the back of the cave (to the left of the Norn chest) you will see a tree root with red slime blocking the passage. To the right of the chest, if you activate the bridge of light, you can go to the waterfall and take a red exploding crystal there. After taking the crystal, throw it into the red slime of the tree, and then shoot the yellow arrows of Atreus at the stuck crystal. Climbing into the opened passage, you will find a scroll with a treasure map. He lies on the floor in front of closed door, leading to the Hidden Chamber of Odin.

Excavation site:

You will find the excavation site in the same "Crossing" region, that is, in the same location where the map was found. Go back to the elevator that took you up to the witch's cave. Near the elevator, there is a red slime made of wood that blocks the path and can be destroyed with electric arrows. Next, you can take the well to the surface, not far from the Witch's turtle house, where you got earlier in the story. You will find the excavation site next to the stones in front of the turtle house.

You can find the scroll with the treasure map next to the red chest in the middle part of the shaft, in the room leading to the quest boss - Soul Eater.

From the first minutes God of War can amaze you with its scale and the number of additional secrets that you have to discover as you progress through the game. And today we have prepared a small guide in which we will tell you how to complete God of War 100%.

How to complete God of War 100%

Complete the main story campaign

. The story campaign in God of War turned out to be quite long, to complete it you will need to go through 17 missions, which will take you about 20 hours.

Favor

. You must complete 12 favors in Midgard. Most often, you will need to help Brok and Syndra, who will ask you to find certain items. By completing their tasks, you can unlock new locations.

Collecting

. Each area in God of War has several collectibles. You can find Mystical Gateways, Shops, Lore Markers, Ravens Odin and more as you progress through the game. To find out how many collectibles you still need to collect, open the map screen - this will make it easier for you to find all the items.

Work

. During the passage of God of War, you will be offered a job. The main goal of most of them is to defeat an X size enemy. But there are also some unique ones. To complete them you will need to find Jotnar Temple or Hidden Cameras.

Valkyries

. There are 8 hidden bosses in the game - extremely difficult enemies called Valkyries. Defeat them all to challenge the queen who is more powerful.

Defeat the Dragons, there are 3 of them in the game.

treasure maps

. Treasure maps in God of War, you can find them while you are exploring the world - these maps point to treasure locations. There are about 11 treasures in the game that are scattered throughout Midgard.

Artifacts

- Another collectible that can be found in the game world. In total, the game will have 7 sets, which consist of 4 items.

In addition, you can also find many rune entries that you can read whenever you want. We will tell you more about the game in our other guides.

With side quests in God of War, everything is pretty simple. Goals are almost always chewed on in detail and marked on the map, you can only get lost in a couple of tasks. So in most cases, the question is rather not “how to get through”, but “where to get it and why”. We answer.

This is the first task that the dwarf Brock will give you. Getting the quest is easy - when you return from Alvheim back to Midgard for the first time in the story - just talk to Brock in his shop. Chapter 1

After watching the introductory video, we deal with a small group of enemies and move on. Having reached the fallen tree, we throw the trunk over the abyss (for this you will need to press the buttons indicated on the screen in time) and move to the other side. Having met with Neptune, we watch the video. During our first encounter with this boss, he will appear in the form of a giant three-headed horse that will occasionally spit boiling water into one of three areas: right, middle, or left. You can determine exactly where the directed jet will be by the direction in which the central head of the monster is directed. As soon as you notice that it is directed in your direction - run! In addition, the monster will occasionally try to smear you on the ground with giant hooves - before that, it will lean back and raise one of its claws. When you deal enough damage, an interactive cutscene will start, causing Neptune to drop us down.

Climbing back, simultaneously cracking down on groups of enemies, we watch the video. The monster will no longer spit with boiling water, however, from now on we need to beware of the blows of his hooves. Noticing that the giant raises its claw, we dodge the blow and immediately attack the stuck paw with chains. After a couple of successful attacks, Neptune will again throw us out of the arena. Having climbed up the titan, we open a chest with healing (green spheres - health, red - experience, blue - magical power) spheres and return to the battlefield. From now on, Neptune will again attack us with jets of boiling water (how to recognize exactly where the jet will fly is described above), so be careful and do not yawn. After three successful combinations, press "R2" and rush at the boss until the supply of magical power runs out. When the giant's health level drops below a critical level, press the triangle and get ready for the next interactive cut-scene.

#2

Chapter 2 Mount Olympus

After moving to the other side of the wall, we climb up the ledges and open the chest with red spheres. Having distributed the experience gained between skills and weapons, we turn right and run forward until we are attacked by another group of ghouls. Having dealt with them, we jump onto the broken ladder and climb it up. After finishing off the enemies, we jump over the cliff using a double jump, after which we interact with the hook located on the left. After climbing over the wall, we deal with a bunch of enemies and jump onto the platform with the help of a double jump. From the platform we jump over to the vine and climb up it. Once on solid ground, we quickly run forward until the bridge collapses behind us. Using the "Wings of Icarus" to overcome the abyss, we run under the red arch and enter the building. Having met face to face with the centaur, we kill him (the “square, square, triangle” combo is perfect for this) and study the pedestal in the right corner of the room. Having finished, we pull the lever and quickly rise to the second floor along the descended stairs. If you hesitate, the ladder will “hide” and the lever will come to pull on a new one. Having got out on the roof, we turn right and run forward until we come across a giant gate. After a short interactive cut-scene, we climb up Gaia and again meet the Stallion we killed earlier.

#3

The battle tactics have not changed much - this time he will not spit boiling water at you, but he will attack with as many as four types of blows. In addition, he will carry out a triple combo, covering almost the entire battlefield. It is almost impossible to dodge such an attack (apparently, some kind of flaw) - there is only a chance that if you run to the left side of the arena, the pincers will fly by and not cause us damage. But this happens quite rarely, so we need to finish off the bastard before our health level drops below a critical level. When the "horse" loses consciousness, press the triangle and get ready for the next interactive cut-scene. If everything goes well, Kratos will cut off one of the giant's claws, after which the battle will continue. From this moment on, you can relax - all the most dangerous attacks of the boss became impossible due to the loss of a limb, and in return he got a generally harmless wave, which is not difficult to dodge, and it does very little damage. Having beaten the horse properly, again click on the triangle and watch how the main character opens the bastard's shell. Returning to the battlefield, we dodge a hail of attacks and interact with the claw cut off earlier, after which we throw it into the defenseless heart of the monster.

#4

Chapter 3

Chapter 4

After watching the video, we slowly move forward along the river, losing all our divine powers along the way. Having met Hades, we quickly press the buttons indicated on the screen and go up the red stairs.

#5

Chapter 5

After watching the video, we move forward until the next interactive cut-scene starts. If everything went well and Kratos was not smeared on the floor, we turn left and inspect the pedestal. Having finished, we open the doors and move through the gorge by pressing the "R1" button. At the bottom, by the way, there are two chests with experience lying around, so if you don’t feel sorry for the time, you can go down after them. One way or another, once on the other side of the gorge, we turn right and in the chest we find the first “Gorgon Eye”. If you collect five of these eyes, you can increase the maximum amount of magical power. Having overcome several corridors, we climb up the vine and cross the right bridge - here the Hyperion Gate is waiting for us. Returning back, we pass along the left bridge and save. Having finished, we turn to the left and cling to the ledge, along which you can climb over the cliff. Having met with a group of enemies, we open the menu for selecting magical abilities (“Select”) and activate the only power available at this time - infinite magic. Having dealt with the ghouls, we pass to the other end of the hall and grab the rope, along which we climb up. Here we will be waiting for a few more enemies, led by a centaur - we need to deal with him first. Having got rid of the enemies, we jump down and inspect the sparkling stone at the end of the rope.

#6

Turning into stone, quickly rotate the left stick clockwise until the gorgon smashed us with his tail. Having freed ourselves from the "captivity", we deal with the vile creature until she again used her ability. After making sure that all opponents are dead, we approach the door located on the left and go down the stairs. Having dealt with a detachment of ghouls, we open the left door and move forward until we reach the gorge. After jumping down, turn around and go back - here you will find three chests with experience at once. Having overcome the river, we watch the video. Having got rid of the enemies, we jump onto the broken column and move from it to the second floor of the building. From here we jump over to the platform and see what happens. Returning back, we wait until the platform rises again and jump onto it, after which we immediately turn to the right and cling to the ledge. Having made our way into a small room, we grab a blue plant lying in the corner and throw it into the abyss, after which we set off after it. Having placed the found plant near the Cerberus cage, we wait until the dog sets it on fire, after which we return to the descending platform and stand on it until it sinks to the stop.

#7

When this happens, quickly return to the burning plant and, using the "Wings of Icarus", fly up. Having made our way into the previously inaccessible passage (we opened it by lowering the platform down), we pull the lever and release the Cerberus. Returning to the previous location, we attack the monster until we are asked to press the triangle. When this happens, we interact with the weakened dog and saddle it, after which we head on it to the prisoner locked in the cage. Having doused the old man with a stream of fire, we select the “Bow of Apollo” from the corpse and prepare for a meeting with a detachment of ghouls. Having dealt with them, we cut the throat of Cerberus and with the help of the found bow we set fire to a flammable plant hanging over the thickets that blocked our path. After leaving the dungeon, we cross the river, along the way shooting approaching enemies from our new weapons. It is better not to let them close, as they can throw us into the water. Having reached the other side, we turn left and climb up the ledges. In the battle with the harpies, the “Circle + L1” combination will help perfectly, which immobilizes them for a while. As soon as the harpies are finished, we turn right. Using the "Wings of Icarus" in order to plan to the next platform, we grab the ledge in the wall and crawl to the right until it stops. After performing a double jump to get to the vine, we climb up it and watch the cutscene.

#8

Chapter 6

Using the ledges, we get to the central platform and watch the video. Having found the save point near the drained pool, we go down the stairs and inspect the book on the pedestal located to the right of the locked golden gate. In order to open them, you will have to complete several tasks for a while. First Challenge - Finish off all enemies before the timer runs out. The second test is to kill the spirits before they reach the ghost gate. The third test is not to die within three minutes. When all three tests are successfully completed, a passage to the next location will open. After saving, we overcome the corridor and turn right, after which we fly through the gorge with the help of the Wings of Icarus.

#9

Going down the stairs, we enter the portal and examine the sheet of paper lying on the ground. Pulling the lever, we return back through the portal and quickly run across the lowered bridge. However, we are not destined to get to the other end of the gorge. When the bridge collapses, we grab the rope and use it to climb over the vine. Having rolled down, we use a double jump and climb onto the ledge. Be careful with blue enemies - they explode upon death. Having finished with the bastards, we jump up the platforms and pull the next lever, after which we turn 180 degrees and, using a double jump, jump over to the raised wooden platform.

#10

Chapter 7

Chapter 8

After watching the video, we move forward along the only path until an interactive cut-scene starts. Having fought off a flock of harpies, we turn right and make our way up the vine that has entangled the hand of the statue. Having climbed onto the left palm of the statue, we examine the thumb and, through an interactive scene, we throw off the giant hand down. Having opened the door, we deal with a detachment of ghouls and with the help of harpies we fly (for this you need to fix the sight on one of the creatures and press the circle) from one platform to another until we get to the passage to the next location. Climbing up the ledges in the wall, we open the "red chest" and repeat the trick with the harpies in order to cross the abyss. After jumping down, save at the pedestal and move forward until the next cutscene starts. After reviewing it, we jump over the crevice and deal with the minotaur. In order to kill this reptile, you must first stun him - this is done using the combination "triangle + circle + L1". After finishing off the monster, turn left and jump onto the platform with the ballista. Having waited for Helios, we aim well and shoot so that the projectile hits directly into the chariot. For everything about everything, you have three attempts.

#11

If you miss three times, you will have to face a huge enemy squad. However, after defeating them, we will be given three more attempts. Having shot Helios, we jump down and with the help of a harpy we cross a giant abyss, after which we open the golden gates located on the right. After watching the video, we go down the long stairs, dealing with hordes of enemies along the way. After descending, we cross the bridge and climb up the stairs. Then we follow along the wall until we get to the wounded god. However, we will not be able to kill the bastard, as his bodyguards will appear, led by an ogre. First of all, it is better to deal with him - for this we attack the giant until we are allowed to ride him. When this happens, we climb onto the back of the ogre and direct it towards the warriors of light. Having broken the guard of Helios, we are taken for the god himself. During the interactive scene, we use the right stick in order to hide behind our hand from the rays of light emitted by the wounded Helios. Having approached the bastard, we press the buttons indicated on the screen and enjoy the bloody spectacle. Congratulations, we have a new weapon - "The Head of Helios". It can be used either as a flashlight or as a makeshift flash grenade. Having activated the lantern, we go down into the tunnel and move forward until the next cutscene starts.

Chapter 9

Breaking out of the harpy's embrace, we climb to the left along the wall until we get to the platform with the save point. After saving, we take out the head of Helios and activate the flashlight mode, we pass into the tunnel. Sooner or later you will come out into a room illuminated by blue lanterns - we deal with the harpies here and turn into the left corridor. At the end of the corridor you will see a rope - we climb up along it (if you go down using the stairs to the left, you can find a couple of chests with experience) and jump over to the cliff from the opposite side. Having made our way through several dark corridors, highlighting our way with the head of Helios, we get out into the spacious hall and watch the video. Using the harpies to cross the abyss, we run along the flimsy bridge and with the help of a double jump we jump over the pit with spikes.

#13

After going a little forward, we jump down and open the chest with red spheres. Having distributed experience points between weapons and skills, we climb up the vine and prepare for a fight with ghosts. By themselves, they are very weak, however, they can only be killed with the bow of Apollo. Having finished, we turn to the bridge and run forward, simultaneously cracking down on lone ghouls. When the bridge is behind, we climb up the moving platforms and quickly jump over to the broken pillar until our platform is overturned. After examining the chain, press the triangle and with the help of the wings of Icarus we plan into the resulting passage. The point is small - to cut the lock on the doors and successfully perform in the next interactive cut-scene.

#14

Chapter 10

After watching the video, we jump down and cling to any of the harpies. During the flight, be careful - any obstacle encountered in the path of Kratos instantly returns him to the last checkpoint. Having successfully landed, we open the chests with health, magic and experience, after which we begin to climb back up. In principle, there is nothing complicated here - we just jump onto the lowering platforms, occasionally moving onto ledges or tree roots. Having reached the surface, we participate in an interactive cut-scene.

#15

Chapter 11

Having gone down into the dungeon, we take out the head of Helios and with the help of it we find a hidden passage to the left of the stairs. After firing a charged arrow at a flammable plant, we wait until the fire clears the way and jump onto the lift. Having risen to the maximum height, we cling to the ledge on the right and move to the next platform, which will take us even higher. Once inside the cube, we set fire to another fruit and watch the video. The cube has moved. Hanging from the cliff, we jump over to the neighboring cube and prepare for the battle with the Minotaurs. Be careful - if the Minotaur cuts the chain holding the cube, then the chapter will have to start from the very beginning. Having finished off the monsters, we pull the lever and, when the cube stops, we jump over to the neighboring structure. Having met with Hermes, we aim at the sparkling hook and press the indicated button, after which we climb up until the cutscene starts.

Chapter 12

Chapter 13

After finishing off all the enemies on the platform, we wait until the elevator goes up and interact with the lever on the left side of the room. Using the opened passage, save and turn right. Having found the widow of Poseidon, we return to the save point and turn left. Finding ourselves in a room with portals, we pass into the one that is immediately opposite the door. Once Kratos is on the other side, turn 180 degrees and glide towards the cliff using Icarus' wings. Be careful - if you stumble and fall, you will have to start the chapter from the last save point. Pulling the lever, we jump down (here, behind a hidden passage (you can open it with the help of the head of Helios) there are four chests with red spheres at once - I do not advise you to neglect them) and throw one of the dogs (in no case do not kill the animals) into the left portal . Then another. And further. And further.

#17

When all four dogs are on the platform, we follow them and start an interactive cut-scene. If everything went well and the passage opened, we jump off the cliff and fly to the only available portal. Having found Poseidon's shield, we return to the very first portal and prepare for a battle with a new type of enemy - ice scorpions. It is not difficult to defeat them, however, it is better to attack from a decent distance, otherwise they can turn us into ice and break us. Having dealt with the reptiles, we approach the wife of Neptune and click on the triangle three times. When Kratos dealt with the girl, we pass through the opened gate and climb up the spiral staircase, after which we pull the lever. Having risen a little higher, we examine the mutilated bodies and prepare for the next interactive cut-scene.

God of War PS 4 Complete Walkthrough: Secrets

There are many different elements in God of War. From various types of chests (norn and legendary) containing valuable items and improvements to the protagonist, through artifacts ending in various works. Below are links to individual pages with secrets and seekers.

- Explore a lot - try not only to follow the main path leading straight to the goal, but also spend some time. As a rule, there are many sides around the main passages leading to interesting places. In general, you will find additional enemies in them, but also a lot of silver and other items (such as artifacts).

- Do not forcibly explore - while you are campaigning, you may not be able to unlock a passage or walk to a valuable chest, for example. If after a few attempts this art fails, continue with the storyline. Thanks to this, you gain access to many new places and places that are not initially available.

It is also worth adding that during the game you will encounter, among others, the characteristic red and blue plants, which block passages and access to some boxes. Don't worry about them, because during the game you will get the opportunity to destroy them.

- Listen to the instructions of the son - a young man can be useful in many situations. The son of Kratos will inform his father, in particular, about threats during combat (for example, that someone falls behind him), but also during reconnaissance.

Sometimes it is enough to spend some time in one place to hear from a shrewd young man, for example, a hint of a hard-to-find treasure.

- Use the bestiary - you will find in it not only descriptions of the enemies you meet, thanks to which you can learn their history, but, above all, strong and weak sides. It's worth getting to know them especially when you're having trouble defeating an enemy.

- Pay attention to the threat indicators - these are special markings that appear around the hero (outside Kratos' field of vision) during the battle. They report various dangers associated with adversaries:

  • Indicator "White / Gold" - informs about the approaching enemy (be ready to defend or dodge).
  • Red indicator - nearby enemy is moving (evading or blocking).
  • Purple Indicator - Indicates an incoming missile or other ranged attack (it's best to dodge at this stage).

- Be aware of the difficulty levels - although you decide the difficulty level before you start playing, there is no problem to change it during the game itself. This can be especially useful when the game is too difficult for us to handle.

To change the difficulty level, go to the menu (Options button and then the triangle), select Settings, Game, and then change the difficulty level (this includes loading the last checkpoint).

- Restore your health - remember that in God of War, Kratos' health is not self-renewing. To do this, use special green dots or special items that you can get during the adventure. The level of health is especially important during fights - if this is not enough for you, then the duel can be easily lost.

Please note that it takes some time to refresh the health in green dots, when opponents can deal additional damage to Kratos. The standard of living is symbolized by a green bar in the upper left corner of the screen.

Leviathan in action

- Develop heroes - try to regularly invest in upgrades and skills of new equipment. If you don't, at some point it will turn out that the character statistics are too weak, and you will have big problems in almost every subsequent encounter.

If you are interested in advancing to the next levels, the opponents will not be such a big threat. In addition, developing equipment and investing in new armor increases the Kratos ratio, due to which the hero will advance to a higher and more high level experience.

- Complete additional tasks, work and look for secrets - this is better ways quickly gaining experience points and silver, which are necessary for the development of Kratos and Atreus.

That's why it's often worth stopping a bit during the story campaign, and it will take some time to complete side missions or search for different types of spots, for example. It will certainly pay off in the future.

Control in the third part of the God of War cycle is no different from similar games. We can check them at any time. To do this, simply select "Options" from the menu and then use the last item in the list, i.e. "Display Control".

Below is a description of the individual default keys. Remember that you can change this setting at any time. To do this, simply go to the Gameplay tab in the Options menu. Then decide if you want to use the default settings or vice versa.

God of War PS 4 full walkthrough: menu

Below is a description of the items available in the menu. It is worth remembering that we switch between individual tabs using the L1 and R1 buttons. Within a particular tab, navigation is done using arrows.

  • Weapons (1) - A tab associated with the weapons of Kratos and Atreus. In the first case, this is the Leviathan ax and information about it, as well as space for any upgrades you can use on it. The second tab refers to Szpon, the arc used by the protagonist's son. Here you can also view information about it and check which call pages it can use.
  • Armor (2) - same as in the case of weapons, but this time related to defensive and therefore any kind of armor elements that can be used by heroes. It should be remembered that protective clothing is divided by Kratos into several parts related to the torso, arms and thighs. Atreus' position is easier because the boy only uses a one-piece hazmat suit.
  • Skills (3) - A tab where you can check all information related to Kratos and Atreus' own and undeveloped abilities. More information about them can be found in a separate section of the Skills guide.
  • Map (4) - shows visited areas and important places and the current location of the heroes. Secret statistics are also marked here. The map can also be launched directly from the game level by touching the touchpad.
  • Objectives (5) - you will find information related to the main and additional missions, as well as different types results, such as artifacts.
  • Code (6) - a place where information about the game world is collected, which you collect during the game. They cover various areas such as information about monsters and their weak points (bestiary) or information about ancient history, which you will find in the info tags.
  • Resources (7) - here you can quickly check the purchased resources and valuable items. They are required to create and purchase new weapon items for merchants.
  • Experience Points (8) - Called XP (Experience Points). They are needed to unlock new skills and develop heroes. You get them by completing main and secondary missions, finding secrets and participating in battles.
  • Silver (9) is the main currency in the game, needed to upgrade weapons or buy new items from vendors, among other things. You get it by exploring the game world. Silver is most commonly found in crates and on dead bodies, but you can also get them for a variety of purposes.
  • Quick Menu (10) - Icons show where you can get them. You can start the map by pressing the touch pad, go to the main menu (from which you can exit the game, but also where you can save the current game or change the difficulty), reach the triangle and leave the inventory by pressing the wheel.

During your journey, you will come across various items and materials that will allow you to upgrade Kratos and Atreus' weapons and their defense elements, which have been divided into several parts (including torso, arms, legs, etc.).

Weapons and equipment can be upgraded at the gnome shops you encounter during the adventure. If you have the required amount of raw materials and cash, it is enough to select this improvement and use it.

Before you do that, it's worth knowing exactly what this modification offers. They affect many different factors, which are described below.

  • Strength (1 in the picture above) is an attribute that increases the damage dealt while releasing standard attacks.
  • Runes (2) - Increase damage from runic attacks and elements.
  • Defense (3) - Reduces damage dealt by enemies.
  • Vitality (4) - Increases maximum health and reduces damage dealt by enemies.
  • Happiness (5) - increases the chances of activating assets (special bonuses related to weapons and equipment), and gains more experience points and silver.
  • Cooldown (6) - reduces the resumption of rune attacks, summoning and cooldown of talismans.

God of War PS 4 Complete Walkthrough: Runic Attacks

Secrets in the form of sarcophagi with upgrades for Kratos.

When exploring the game world, you will find runic gems(mostly ). They allow you to strengthen your weapons by adding different types of attacks. The first one you will find in one of the chests at the beginning of the adventure and it will be Dotik Hel.

To select a manual attack, go to the "Weapons" tab (1 in the picture below). Then select Leviathan (Kratos Ax - 2) or Claw (Atreus Arc - 3). A weapon miniature will appear on the left, with sockets (4) at the bottom. Hover over a given slot and select the X key. Then select an attack from the menu of interest to you.

Note that each attack is accurately described (5). In addition to explaining the word and the key combination needed to activate it, you'll also find information about damage dealt, freeze, stun, and cooldown.

If you have enough experience points, you can improve rune attacks - more information about how to improve them can be found in the table on the right side of the screen. There you will find information about what the upgrade provides and how much it costs.

As you advance in the game, you will receive further runic attacks (so it is worth exploring the visited lands and places). At the same time, you can use two attacks of this type, so always choose the ones that best suit your play style or that will work best in your fight.

Can you continue playing after completing the story campaign?

Yes. After finishing the game with the main thread, nothing will stop you from continuing the game to find all the secrets and seekers or complete additional tasks.

What worlds are available in the game and how to unlock them?

You start playing God of War at the very big world— Midgard. It is also the largest place, divided into several large regions. You will gradually gain access to other worlds. Some of them will be unlocked during the story campaign, others will be available after special tasks, and the rest will not be able to be visited (perhaps they will become available in an expansion or sequel to the game).

Here is a list of worlds and how to unlock them:

  • Midgard - available from the very beginning of the game.
  • Alfheim, Helheim, Jotunheim - these worlds will become available as the story progresses.
  • Muspelheim, Nilfheim - to unlock them, you must first complete additional tasks, which consist of finding fragments of special disks (each disk consists of four parts). As soon as they are found, the worlds will become available.
  • Asgard, Vanaheim and Svartalfheim are worlds that are currently unavailable.

Is there a fast movement system in God of War?

Yes. It is based on the so-called mystical gates, which you first open access to a certain part of the game. With progress, more and more mystical gates will appear in the lands. By interacting with them, you will activate them, which will allow you to make a quick trip from one gate to another.

Initially, their number is quite small, and the journey can only go to the temple of Taira. However, over time, their number will increase and the possibility of fast movement between all open mystical gates will open.

Is there a manual record of game status?

Yes. God of War uses two types of game save methods - automatic and manual. The first occurs quite often and in many places, for example, after reaching a certain place, discovering a new place, or after a collision.

However, if you want to use manual way save the game, go to the symbols menu (options key), then to the main menu (triangle), and then select the save game option. Select a seat and confirm it with the X button. Remember that the number of slots is limited, and when all of them are full, you will have to overwrite the current one.

Can Kratos and Atreus die?

If during the battle the opponents bring the belt of Kratos to zero, the hero dies and the game ends automatically. Then you can use Restore Last Game Record or use the guide.

There is also a special object, the resurrection stone, which you can buy from vendors. Using it after Kratos' "death" will allow Atreus to revive his father with little health to continue the fight.

As for Atreus, the boy cannot die during the fight. However, remember that enemies can stun him and take him out of the fight for a while. Sometimes they get a guy and, for example, they start to suppress him.

If you help him get out of trouble and face a rival who is trying to destroy Atreus, you will protect him from fainting.
