The debut project of the decorator Olga Maleva, a graduate of the school-studio "Details", was her own house in the suburbs. The nature of the interior was largely determined by the architecture of the house in the Norman style. The facade with many windows and openwork railings looked too decorative, so the decorator wanted to make the interior space more restrained and light. Olga aspired to create an interior that would be relevant ten years from now. The decorator took her favorite shades of gray as a basis. In addition to this range, she chose a delicate palette of hydrangea colors: fabrics and carpets of pale pink, lilac, blue, green and white-cream shades appeared in the rooms. The decorator covered the floor with black boards. The main premises of the house are located on the ground floor along one axis. This technique helped to create beautiful perspectives. Most of the furniture for this project was ordered in America. To make the interior look brand new, Olga added pieces of furniture “with history” to the decor: Ralph Lauren Home tables with old wood tops, an antique fireplace grate, and so on.

2. Mansion in the suburbs, decorated by decorator Kirill Istomin

Listing the brightest interiors of country houses published in ELLE DECOPRATION in 2014, one cannot fail to mention this work by Kirill Istomin. The customers invited a decorator to develop an interior design for a country house without changing the architectural design of the facade and layout. Almost every room has access to its own terrace - according to the decorator, this is the most important element of country life, which allows you to feel the fusion of nature and interior. The first floor is dedicated to common spaces. Next to the entrance hall there is an office with an adjoining winter garden. This is the owner's favorite. The living room and dining room are an elongated hall with a number of French windows. The unusual shape of the room is explained by the fact that earlier it housed a swimming pool, which the owners hardly used. Therefore, when rebuilding the house, the pool was abandoned. Next to the living room is big kitchen. Private rooms - a nursery and a master bedroom, each with its own dressing room and bathroom - occupy the second floor. Under the arches of the roof there is another office and a guest bedroom. The decorator turned it into a kind of tent, pasting over the walls and window slopes wallpaper with floral patterns repeated on pillows and curtains. Most of the furniture is made to order. However, the interior also contains antiques, such as the metal table of socialite Brooke Astor.

3. House designed by American decorator Kelly Westler

This mansion is located on Mercer Island, Washington, USA. The area of the house is more than 1 thousand square meters. The owners dreamed of an interior reminiscent of a private Parisian art gallery. Decorator Kelly Westler realized that the interior could not do without unusual vintage furniture, luxurious finishing materials and, of course, paintings and sculptures. The floors are a bright mosaic of different types of marble and onyx. The decorator developed the patterns of these stone “carpets” herself, for each room she had her own. In some of the rooms, Westler used stone to decorate the walls, encasing marble panels with picturesque veins in thin brass frames. She combines this unusual technique with hand-painted wallpaper from Porter Teleo and De Gournay. The decorator was engaged in the choice of furniture together with the owners of the house. Many objects are made to order according to sketches by Westler. One of the most complex engineering structures was the spiral staircase in the library. Openwork brass railings covered with several layers of patina.

4. House designed by architects Vyacheslav Valovny and Elena Barykina

The owners of this house have always dreamed of living outside the city. The house stands in a pine forest near the Gulf of Finland. The owners were not satisfied with the original standard project, so they turned to architects Vyacheslav Valovnya and Elena Barykina. “First of all, we plastered the brick façade and supplemented it with wooden details, typical for the dacha architecture of St. Petersburg at the beginning of the 20th century,” says Vyacheslav. - The open terrace to the right of the dining room has turned into a veranda, which also serves as a small living room. But the space at the entrance to the house caused the most trouble - it was assigned the role of the main living room. Vyacheslav designed an oval stove, which turned the room into one of the most spectacular rooms in the house, at the same time hiding structural elements. The picture is complemented by a mosaic floor, unusual for our latitudes, made using the terrazzo technique. Together with an oval neoclassical stove decorated with medallions and a garland, it gives the living room an Italian character. In general, the interior of the country house (photos of the main premises are attached) turned out to be eclectic - as often happened in Russian mansions at the turn of the century. The entrance hall and staircase are designed in strict proportions of northern modernity, the interiors of the bedrooms are closer to French classics, the spa area resembles the Moorish living room of the Yusupov Palace, and the living room in the attic floor is an English club.

5. House in Pavlovsk, designed by architects Irina Shkolnikova, designers Elena Zaretskaya and Vera Lyzhina

Private house located near the palace and the park of the museum-reserve Pavlovsk. The lion's share of the second floor, according to the original project, was occupied by open terraces, while the owners were sorely lacking living quarters. The owners involved architect Irina Shkolnikova and designers Elena Zaretskaya and Vera Lyzhina to the reconstruction project. extra walls on the ground floor disappeared, the resulting through space was supplemented by glass doors leading to the garden. A light staircase with “flying” steps spun around the supporting column. The open terraces on the second floor turned into bedrooms, living rooms and an office with a balcony. The windows have been increased in size - now they "grow" out of the floor. The floors in all rooms are lined with large slabs of porcelain stoneware. The walls are painted in neutral tones – this is how the designers created a backdrop for bright furniture, which plays a key role in the interior. There are many objects in the interior, for example, from the Italian designer Paola Navone - her handwriting is recognizable in painted wooden furniture and sofa covers, deliberately wrinkled, sewn as if hastily.

6. House of fashion designer Roberto Cavalli in the suburbs of Florence

Listing the memorable beautiful interiors country houses, you can not ignore the house of Roberto Cavalli in the suburbs of Florence. This is a real treasure trove, where a lot of outlandish items are stored, most of which were invented by the designer for last years. This house, which is a rebuilt tower of the 15th century, is home to the entire numerous Cavalli clan: wife Eva, children Roberto, Raquel and Daniel, as well as Tomaso and Cristina, the designer's son and daughter from a previous marriage. In the decor of the rooms, textiles with animal prints are everywhere, the seats of the chairs are covered with the skins of zebras and cows. On the bedspreads and pillows, and even on the fireplace chimney, there is a pattern imitating the color of a leopard. This interior evokes associations with the first collections of Cavalli - just as bright and provocative. A few years ago, Cavalli built an additional building in the garden, where his workshop is located. The owner is an avid collector. In addition to sculptures and paintings, the house has a lot of art glass from Daum and Emil Galle. However, there was a place not only for antiques, but also for samples of modern design. A large part of the furnishings are interior items from Roberto Cavalli Home. Table lamps and candelabra, wine glasses and china with a branded monogram - Roberto Cavalli's home collection has expanded significantly and today includes not only furniture, but also carpets, dishes, lamps, linens, wallpaper and even ceramic tiles.

7. House of French decorator Jean-Louis Degno in the suburbs of Paris

The main part of the building was erected in 1821, and in 1880 two wings were added to the house. The previous owners of the house used only a small part of the space - the hall, now turned into a pantry, the living room, which has become the opposite of the hall, and the kitchen, on the site of which Denyo made a guest toilet. The rest of the house was empty for several centuries. Today the house has eight bedrooms, a spacious neoclassical living room. There is a "Swedish" room, "Italian", "Chinese" room. Choosing a palette, the decorator was inspired by traditional English interiors. Most of the rooms are covered with wallpaper: the patterns enliven the interior, partly replacing the paintings. Many interior solutions were born spontaneously. For example, the decorator could not figure out for a long time what to do with the lobby on the first floor - there used to be a dance room here. The parquet was in a deplorable state. One day, Denyo brought a table from Ala Shal here for a while and hung a chandelier of the Sputnik model, popular in the 1960s, modeled after the first Soviet spacecraft. Both items unexpectedly "take root" in a new place.

8. House designed by architect and designer William Sawaya

The site that the architect chose to build the house is located on top of a hill. The house is a three-story modernist building with an area of 1,000 square meters. As for the interior, the rooms are not separated from each other, nothing interferes with the movement of light and air. The dining room is located on the terrace - the local climate allows such luxury. From the terrace you can see the village of Magdos (south of Italy). All the furniture in the house is the work of Sawaya himself or the work of famous designers who collaborated with his bureau Sawaya & Moroni, which he heads together with Paolo Moroni. In the center of the living room is Zaha Hadid's famous Moraine sofa, shaped like an iceberg. In the decoration of the house, William used materials for which he always had a soft spot: local marble for the floors and bleached birch for the walls. The interior is also decorated with works by contemporary artists.

9. House in Vicenza, designed by the architect Lanfranco Pollini

Italian architect Lanfranco Pollini created a modern interior within the walls of an old 16th-century building. In fact, this is an agricultural building that in the old days separated the main house from the outbuilding. The building adjoins the famous Villa Valmarana, built by Andrea Palladio. Adapting the agricultural building for housing, Pollini managed to maintain the original proportions of the premises. He managed to restore the facades to their original form. But while working on the interior, the architect allowed himself a few liberties. For example, an atypical floor for such buildings is oak parquet laid out in a herringbone pattern. For wall cladding, the architect chose artificial Venetian marble and wallpaper, which he painted in several layers of paint. Through wide arched openings, each room offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. As for the interior, the architect has opted for iconic design objects such as armchairs by Arne Jacobsen, DSR plastic chairs by Charles and Ray Eames, Parentesi lamp by Achille Castiglioni.

10. House designed by American designer Jeffrey Bilhuber

The designer was offered to renovate the family mansion, which is currently home to the third generation of the same family. It was necessary to make the house modern, while not crossing out its history, full of memories dear to the owners. The legacy inherited by the decorator is an excellent collection of European furniture, collected over many years, that has adorned this house for all these years. To some extent, it reflected not only the history of the family, but also the very place where the mansion stands - Taxido Park, a fashionable resort in the mountains of New York State. The designer started work from the living room - it seemed smaller due to the not very successful arrangement of furniture. Without thinking twice, the designer sawed off an armrest from each of the two sofas standing here and made one large one out of them. The room immediately became more spacious. One of the living rooms has been turned into a bridge hall, which the owners simply adore. Along the long sofa, the designer has arranged tables with frivolous umbrellas. Bilhuber removed the bulky stucco from the walls and painted them with colorful stripes. The designer brightened up the hall by painting the brown wood paneling with turquoise paint, and added red lampshades to the crystal chandelier in the dining room. Accents of purple, orange, fuchsia appeared in all rooms, visually unifying the interior.

In the modern world, personal space is of particular importance. That is why every second family would prefer to own their own house, without having to share the landing with neighbors. A private house gives you the opportunity to realize all your ideas in the general form and internal content of the house. Private sectors are widely distributed in different cities and occupy fairly large areas.

“My house is my fortress” is a quote familiar to everyone, it is she who best describes the main advantage of a separate residential building: a country house or even within a metropolis. In our article we will talk about the nuances of creating a beautiful and harmonious interior of a private house.

Peculiarities

Private ownership has a number of characteristic features:

  • Opportunity to bring all your ideas to life. You can generate and apply ideas even at the planning stage of a residential building. It is necessary to determine in advance the number of floors, the number of rooms, the size of the kitchen and other rooms, their location, etc. Even at the stage of drafting the project, its presentation should resonate in your heart.

The interior of the house should correspond to the maximum to the lifestyle of its owner and reflect his values, interests and lifestyle. The guest, once inside, will be able to draw up his own portrait of the owner of the house, based on the selected materials in the decoration, the general style, furniture and other details.

  • As for the exterior of the house, exterior, unlike the interior, provides the first impression of the building. Here it is very important to remember that the appearance of the house should fit as much as possible into the landscape and the background created by adjacent buildings or nature itself. For example, a house sheathed with clapboard will perfectly complement a suburban cottage village, and will harmoniously look against the backdrop of a landscape with rich vegetation.

  • Space. Unlike an ordinary city apartment, your own house is much freer and more spacious, which allows you to play with its internal content, as well as bring to life any ideas in the form of a terrace, winter garden or childhood dreams - attic. big family It will be very comfortable to live in free space. And to receive guests in a spacious house is a special pleasure.

  • Possibility to organize your own site. A great option to spend more time outdoors. A great motivation to start gardening and harvest your first crop or set up a playground for your children and grandchildren yourself. Or maybe in the future to equip your own pool?

  • Housing maintenance. On the other hand, a separate house and a large space will require high costs, since only you yourself will be concerned about utility problems, in the case of an apartment, the task is reduced to the standard “pay a communal apartment”. When rebuilding your own home, you need to keep in mind the need for its further maintenance, which sometimes can be quite costly.
  • Soundproofing. In your own house, you are unlikely to be disturbed by neighbors right behind the wall. No unplanned climbs, other people's pets and the sound of a drill.

  • Safety. If we compare a detached cottage with a typical city apartment, then even with a non-professional eye, one can appreciate that the first option is much more attractive to robbers. In this case, you need to take care of choosing a security system or installing an alarm in advance. If, having considered the features of country houses, you are still dreaming about your own space and are ready to know more, let's look at the exterior options.

Finishing materials

The external appearance of the house should be harmonious, as well as its internal content. Separately standing house- this is a living organism, it often seems that windows are its eyes. The size and number of windows of even a one-story house can vary from standard options to floor-to-ceiling windows occupying entire wall facades. Now windows with a layout are very popular. It is the most independent element window construction, which can take virtually any shape, thereby forming patterns or various ornaments.

The next item is the choice of "skin" frame house, finishing materials. Choosing how to finish the facade of the house, the owners most often stop on the following options:

  • Decorative plaster. Plaster is considered to be the oldest finishing option, and one of its main advantages is undoubtedly the ease of its application. There are several types of plaster: facade decorative, mineral, acrylic or silicone. The most modern, but expensive is silicone. If the budget allows, then a long-serving self-cleaning material will not make you regret your choice.

  • Finishing brick and tile. There are a huge variety of types of clinker bricks, their colors and textures, which allows, using its different combinations, to make the facade of your house unique. Among the shortcomings, one can note the high cost of the material and the large amount of time spent on installation.

  • Siding. These are decorative panels that are quite simple to install and well protect the house from negative influences.

  • Clapboard. Eco-friendly material, easy to install. The lining is quite expensive, but only, perhaps, thanks to the smell of chopped wood, it will fill your home with a special comfort and atmosphere.

  • A rock. Choosing for sheathing natural stone, the owner of the premises must initially be prepared for high costs. Artificial stone, on the other hand, will be more economical, and will also provide more design options for a flight of fancy.

  • Facade cassettes. Very practical, reliable and durable material, giving a huge choice design solutions because of the extensive choice of textures, colors and sizes.

When choosing the most budgetary option for covering your home, it is worth remembering the famous saying about the stingy merchant, because safety and appearance your home is directly proportional to the quality of the selected materials.

For interior decoration At home there is also a huge selection of finishing materials:

  • The walls can be painted by choosing a leading shade, as well as a couple of undertones that will harmoniously coexist within one room or the entire room.

  • Wallpapers are still popular and relevant. Their choice in hardware stores is literally amazing: classic paper, wallpaper for painting, on a fabric or non-woven base. Wallpaper with different ornaments will perfectly dilute one of the walls in a room painted with light paint. Different shades are easily combined with each other and can be an excellent interior solution.

  • It is also possible to finish the walls or some part of them with tiles, natural stone or brick, the inclusion of panels in wall cladding.

Styles

To decorate a private house, you can use any of the existing styles today.

Classical

The relevance of the classical style today should not be underestimated. Classics tend to be chosen by serious people who do not chase endless trends and do not want to change the furniture in the house at the end of the season. The distinctive features of the classical style in the interior include the clarity of geometric shapes, manifested in the shapes of rooms and individual pieces of furniture.

As a rule, the classic means plain walls and a minimum of unnecessary details. The floor is covered with wood, the ceilings are often decorated with stucco. Light, spacious and solemn.

Italian

The inhabitants of Italy greatly honor the art and heritage of their country. That is why interiors still prefer time-tested or old-fashioned details. Italians are lovers of outlandish wall decorations (stucco, frescoes) and wooden furniture made by hand. Most often, the furniture is made of mahogany and decorated with decorative carvings on an individual order.

In the decoration of an elite house in the Italian style, you can often find Venetian plaster. This option is suitable for those who want to show the special solidity of the chosen room, making it pretentiously solemn. Italians love sophisticated interior items such as wall-mounted decorative candlesticks, chic bulky chandeliers with large wrought iron details, and an abundance of antiques.

But all these details do not litter the room, but only give it a characteristic zest.

Finnish

Northern Europeans are special connoisseurs scandinavian design, but each nation adds its own special notes to it. The special warmth of the Finnish interior is manifested in the use of a large number of natural materials. It can be a house made of timber or sheathed with wood panels. In addition, the widespread use of wood and stone can be traced not only in the exterior, but also in the interior of the house.

The shape of such a house allows you to place windows that even face the roof, as well as add a second tier of the house due to the attic and built-on pitched roof. Also in the Finnish style, houses with a terrace are very popular. In the interior of a Finnish-style house, you can find a lot of white, diluted with gray and deep blue.

There are often fireplaces in homes, but now bio-fireplaces that use alcohol as fuel are especially popular. Biofireplace you can’t make it work without heating the room, so this is, in fact, a Finnish version that has a practical function.

Finns are lovers of suburban eco-friendly buildings. The natural component of Finland, its abundant forests and lakes are perfect for inventing something unusual. For example, domed houses. It can be either a wooden house with a large number of panoramic windows, or a completely glass building.

Country

Very close to the Finnish country style, which originated in England. From the moment of its origin to the present, it has not actually changed. Country is synonymous with rustic or peasant style: good quality, reliability and warmth. The direction is also characterized by the use of a large amount of wood, only natural textiles, wicker furniture with history.

Rustic style prefers moments of folklore in ornaments and decoration. Furniture can often be of a rough finish. All these details together preserve the special spirit of the people inside the house.

High tech

Interior design, characterized by special geometry and rigor. In spirit, it is very close to minimalism and, rather, is more suitable for office decoration than for a country family home. Of the materials, the most popular are metal inserts and glass. Hi-tech is different special practicality and a minimum of unnecessary details, so any interior solution performs its immediate practical function.

With a few leading interior styles out of the way, let's take a look at the different colors that fill spaces.

Colors and prints

Among designers, there are special rules for choosing the best color scheme for decorating any room:

  • The first and most important of them says that you can use the subtones of the leading shade, but not more than three, and also add neutral colors (white, light gray) to the finish.
  • When choosing a leading shade, it is also worth remembering about the best combinations colors or refer to the color wheel to search for them. The most concise combinations are already familiar to us and surround us in everyday life, but this is not a reason to refuse experiments. For example, gray just asks to revive it with bright accents, prints or inserts of green, blue, yellow colors. Beige goes well with a rich chocolate or olive tone.

Black - initially a very self-sufficient shade. When choosing additional tones for it, you should pay attention to the entire interior in order to competently dilute its severity.

  • The third rule is the selection of contrasts. Sometimes the soul asks for bright solutions and unexpected combinations. A stylish look can be achieved by combining, for example, red and white, green and orange, or yellow and navy blue.
  • Another unspoken rule tells us about the unconditional need to use nearby colors. But there should not be more than three such shades, otherwise, despite the harmonious range of colors, the room will look quite monochrome and vividly tell the owner about the lack of a sense of color and style.

  • A separate word must be said about prints. Such bright decorative elements perfectly complement the room and show its character, with their successful placement and dosage, they place the right accents. This can be, for example, bathroom tiles with various ornaments or wallpaper with prints. You can often see floral designs in country style, and strict restrained prints are suitable even for minimalism or Scandinavian design.

Purpose of premises

A country house can accommodate many rooms that are unusual for us in a typical city apartment. In addition to the standard familiar bedrooms, nurseries, kitchens and bathrooms, you can find many more interesting and atypical things. Often in cottages you can see a separate room reserved for an office that is convenient for work. Thus, many work tasks can be solved without spending a lot of time on the road to the office, but staying through the wall with your beloved family.

Many economy class projects include a large dining room combined with a kitchen. So you can achieve free space and be able to receive guests at a large kitchen table. There can also be several seating options: a spacious standard table, a modern bar counter, etc.

It is difficult to imagine a person who would not strive to live in a comfortable, cozy house or apartment, where there is everything necessary for a good rest. If for the owners of spacious housing everything is decided by the availability of free time and finances for its arrangement, then the interior of a small house requires a lot of effort, attention and imagination. Fortunately, there is no need to invent something radically new. Indeed, many people face the problem of a small, and sometimes frankly cramped dwelling. Consider the most popular ways out of this situation.

Arrangement of the living room

Residential private houses, the area of which is small, are usually not equipped with a special room for family evenings or receiving guests. But it is difficult to do without such a room. Therefore, its function is performed by other rooms. Usually the living room is combined with a bedroom or kitchen. In the first case, the place to sleep must be separated from the place of family or friendly gatherings. This can be done with a small closet, chest of drawers, curtains.

Attention, it is very important that the bed is not only present, but you can really relax on it, while someone else is in the room. This is facilitated by the rejection of the TV, as well as sources of bright light near the bed.

If the living room is combined with the kitchen, then it makes sense to abandon the large dining table in favor of a coffee table. Furniture also should not be bulky. The best solution is a small sofa (perhaps a corner one) and a few armchairs, chairs or ottomans. They fit well into any layout and do not take up much space.

Bedroom

The design of a small country house usually does not provide for a separate spacious room that can be used as a bedroom. There are several interior options that will be a way out:

  • limit yourself to a narrow sofa in the living room;
  • put a bed in a small room, which will occupy almost its entire area;
  • equip a sleeping place in the attic under the roof of the house.

In order to implement the last project, you need to free the attic from all things, insulate the roof from the inside and remove part of the attic floor. After that, you need to install a reliable ladder and a sleeping place directly. Its function can be performed by a hard mattress. Then it remains only to place a lamp and shelves for the necessary things near the bed: books, telephone, combs.

Kitchen in a small house

No matter how small the area of \u200b\u200bthe house is, it cannot do without a place where you can store food and cook food, that is, without an equipped kitchen. It is worth giving preference to a compact model of a refrigerator or dishwasher, furniture with a built-in oven.

A huge role in the arrangement of the kitchen of a small house is played by a variety of shelves and cabinets, which can be located on several levels. Holiday sets, jars of exotic spices, voluminous frying pans and pots, spare detergents can be put on the upper shelves, only what is in demand really often should be left at hand. The bottom surface of the shelves should be equipped with reliable hooks. They will accommodate small pans, cups, a ladle, kitchen towels, potholders.

Kitchen interior in wooden house

Bathroom

The area of even the smallest country house usually allows you to place a sit-down bath or shower. This is not the best solution in terms of comfort, but it is driven by necessity. household chemicals and washing powder can be placed under the bathtub or in a cabinet. On the shelves there is a place for shampoo, shower gel, soap, toothpaste.

In such a small room, you should actively use the walls. It is worth fixing hooks for washcloths, towels, bathrobes on them. The same devices can be placed on the inner surface of the door. Before proceeding with this, it is necessary to evaluate the quality of the door and the load that will not harm it. No need to save on a good rug, because with a small bathroom, splashing water on the floor is almost inevitable. It is better to purchase a few silicone or rubber mats than to spend money on repairing floors and getting rid of mold.

Workplace equipment

The realities of modern life are such that the average person is not often able to leave work behind the walls of his home. Many take part of their work at home, give it a weekend or part of their vacation, someone works remotely or just likes to watch the news while sitting at a desktop computer. In this case, you can not do without a kind of study on the territory of a country house. A small table for papers and a comfortable chair will fit perfectly into the interior of a small house, but you need to find a place for this furniture. They usually become part of the bedroom or living room.

Attention, it is very important to place the desktop near the window, or at least install a bright lamp above it.

A good option for a functional interior would be a compact wall for the living room with a built-in desktop. In any case, the style of the work area furniture should match the design of the living room or bedroom. It is best to choose a ready-made kit from a trusted manufacturer. Then the room will look harmonious and cozy, will make a good impression on the most demanding guests, and will become a favorite place for family members.

Zoning in the interior of a small house

Often the entire area of a small house is represented by just one room. In this case, it is necessary to correctly divide the space into separate zones: sleeping, working, a place for cooking and receiving guests. This is best facilitated by the installation of one or two racks, or thin partitions. It will visually divide the room into several rooms. In addition, the racks will become an additional place to store the necessary things: books, dishes, bedding. And by placing vases, figurines or candles on them, you can decorate the room.

Another solution would be to install a podium with a bed in a wall niche. And placing a bed under the ceiling will free up space for a wardrobe, closet, desktop, extra chair or a play area for children. Zoning a country house can also be facilitated by tiles on the wall of the kitchen, carpets for the bedroom or living room, repeating the shade of the furniture, spectacular curtains.

Functional furniture

Without functional furniture, it is difficult to imagine the interior of a country house that is truly comfortable for living. These are products with moving parts that perform several functions at once or combine different interior items. It includes:

  • sofas and beds with built-in cabinets and pull-out shelves;
  • folding chairs, armchairs, benches;
  • sliding coffee and kitchen tables;
  • wardrobe systems with removable shelves;
  • bookends with built-in floor lamps;
  • ironing boards with a mirror or shelves;
  • kitchen furniture with sliding tables.

Such furniture looks modern, made of durable, reliable materials. With it, the design of even the smallest house will stand out with a special, unique style. An example of functional furniture is also stairs with small drawers built into the steps for books, towels, socks, souvenirs and children's toys. They allow you to compactly place everything you need practically at hand, without cluttering up the space of the home.

Storage in a small home

The problem of storing the right things is especially acute in a small room. Therefore, the owners of such housing can not do without a sufficient number of cabinets and shelves. It is best to place them vertically, without focusing the bulk of the boxes on the floor. In a small house, you need to make the most of the walls by installing hooks and hangers on them. A bulky wardrobe can be replaced with a wardrobe system or a clothes rail. This multi-beam floor structure allows you to hang a large number of things in a limited area.

If the house has an attic space, then most of the things that are not used in everyday life can be taken there. Books, outerwear, out-of-season shoes, extra linens and crockery should be placed in safe, durable boxes. The inscriptions on the boxes will help you quickly find the things you need. From old furniture, which is no longer used, it is better to get rid of it altogether. It will not fit into the design of housing, it will take up a place that can be better used.

The general style of the interior of a small house

With a limited area of \u200b\u200bhousing, it is especially important that its style be harmonious. If the house has only one room, delimited into several zones, then all the furniture should be combined with each other. You can install ready-made kits or choose the right things yourself. Small furniture in light colors will successfully fit into the design of a small house.

In general, light colors, such as beige, milky white, gray, peach, mint, are especially in demand in small rooms. The walls and ceiling of this shade will visually expand the space. They can be supplemented with interior details (curtains, floor lamps, figurines, pillows) of brighter colors - light green, blue, lemon yellow, lilac.

The interior design of each individual house or apartment is individual. But for owners of small housing, the following recommendations are relevant:

  • strive for minimalism, do not litter the space with unnecessary things;
  • give preference to several well-matched colors or shades;
  • if possible, leave the walls open, without hanging them with colorful carpets and numerous paintings.

Lighting

With insufficient light, any room seems cramped, uncomfortable and cluttered. Therefore, the interior of a small country house provides good lighting. This is facilitated by windows with curtains or light curtains, lamps built into the ceiling and walls, floor lamps, table lamps.

There must be several light sources, this is necessary for the competent division of space into functional zones. The design of the bedroom provides for the presence of the main lamp and one or two additional ones. If it is combined with the living room, then you can limit yourself to a night light at the head of the bed. For the interior of a small living room, a floor lamp that fits into the style of the room is indispensable. It will complement the main light source - a chandelier in the center of the ceiling. In the kitchen, lighting on the bottom of the hanging cabinets can be used.

The list of options includes both trendy creative solutions and rather conservative classic ones.

The advantage of a private house, expressed in a larger area, provides a wide scope for the implementation of their ideas for interior design. This article provides information to help you realize this opportunity.

Country house: layout and interior design

Despite the large area, a country house in terms of comfort can significantly exceed an apartment. A thoughtful approach to the interior design of different rooms of the cottage will turn it into a family nest, which will give the owners comfort and warmth, as well as creative inspiration for a long time.

Living in a private house outside the city is a radically different standard of living. Clean air, picturesque nature and the absence of city noise will give peace and tranquility. An equally important element that affects the comfort of living in a country house is interior design. To get the maximum effect from the implementation of design ideas, it is necessary to take into account certain aspects in the process of working on filling the interior space in the cottage.

As noted above, the owner of a house outside the city gets more opportunities to make the design of his dreams come true, compared to those who live in an apartment. But it also takes a lot more effort to do so. In a country house, it is necessary not only to carefully consider the interior space, but also to ensure its harmonious combination with the landscape of the site, the architecture of the facade and the surrounding nature.

Coordination of work

In the cottage, you can make a layout that will best meet the needs of each family member. At the stage of drawing up a redevelopment project, it is necessary to determine what premises are needed in a country house, where they will be located and which of them can be combined. In large houses, it is possible to place even rooms with a non-standard functional orientation - a fireplace room with a working or decorative fireplace, dressing room, library and so on. Such rooms will become a favorite place to relax, work, chat with friends and read books.

After drawing up a redevelopment plan, you need to draw up an interior design project for all rooms of a country house. At this stage, there is no need to think through all the details. It is enough just to determine the main directions of design. It is not necessary to decorate the whole house in the same style. The interiors of different rooms may differ in their orientation, but should be in harmony with the overall design of a country house.

The interior design of a country house in the Provence style is distinguished by its lightness, regularity and harmonious combination with natural landscapes. It is saturated with the romance of the countryside. It cannot be confused with other design trends. Many rightly consider Provence best style for the interior of a country house.

Distinctive design features in Provence style:

  • pastel shades;
  • whitewash on the walls;
  • natural landscapes in a classic baguette;
  • floral patterns on fabric products;
  • openwork forged details;
  • minimalism in interior elements;
  • window structures with shutters.

The interior design of a country house in the Provence style evokes thoughts of the sea coast, olive groves, fields with blooming lavender and Mediterranean herbs.

The walls in such interiors are covered with rough decorative plaster. Small bumps and roughness may remain on their surface. Separate rooms can be sheathed with a natural board painted with light colors. The apron of the working area in the kitchen is usually finished with glazed brick, natural stone or stylized tiles.

As floor coverings in the interiors of a Provence-style country house, a painted board and terracotta porcelain stoneware look best. In the French provinces in old houses there is a floor made of unpainted boards. The modern design of houses in this style must necessarily take into account this tradition. In the interior, the use of linoleum, laminate and even parquet is unacceptable.

The most popular option for finishing ceilings in such an interior is painting them with light paint. In this case, the beams should be open and made in a contrasting tone. In all rooms, white doors are installed, processed using artificial aging technology. Door leafs are decorated with a stylized floral pattern. The windows in such a house should also be in the French style with white sectional frames.

The furniture of a country house in the Provence style should be light and functional. Carved sets with glamorous elements will not fit into the overall design. The most acceptable shades for decorating the premises of such a house are beige, lavender, blue and yellow. Used for decoration textile products- veils, tapestries, linen fabrics.

Scandinavian style

Today, such interiors are in trend and are widespread. In spacious cottages, this design looks especially grandiose. Interiors of country houses in scandinavian style necessarily present in the list of the best projects published in specialized architectural and design publications.

The interior design of a Scandinavian-style country house, the photo of which is presented below, allows you to create a discreet, calm atmosphere of unity with natural landscapes. It gives the impression of reliability, comfort and safety.

Key features of Scandinavian-style country house interiors:

  • Lots of light in the rooms.
  • Cold colors are used for interior design.
  • The decoration of walls, floors and ceiling surfaces is minimalist.
  • The interior design is dominated by strict lines and smooth surfaces.
  • Bright paintings and stylish rugs are used as decor.

To fill the rooms of a country house with natural light, it is necessary to minimize the design of window openings. Often there are either no curtains on the windows at all, or they are chosen from very light materials (muslin and muslin). In addition, windows can be covered with blinds.

Walls painted in light colors can be somewhat enlivened with the help of separate strips of bright wallpaper, paintings and other decorative elements arranged in a chaotic manner.

In the interiors of a Scandinavian-style country house, you need to use natural materials. This direction of design involves the finishing of floors, ceiling surfaces and walls with natural wood. Furniture should be made from this material. The best option is a minimally processed board made of birch, beech and oak, painted with light colors.

You may get the wrong impression that interior design in this style looks a bit boring. Bright blankets, colorful furniture upholstery and cushions on sofas will help to avoid this effect. It is necessary to try to place a large number of details in the interior of a country house, but not to overload it, ensuring the maximum filling of the premises with light. In addition, you can get a good effect by using dark furniture that will contrast with light floors and walls.

Country style design - harmony with nature

Interior design in country style is the dream of many owners of country houses in Moscow. A solid rustic atmosphere with bright rooms, simple natural wood furniture and neat curtains on the windows brings you closer to picturesque nature. In an independent direction of design, this style stood out in the fifties of the last century. It should be noted that there are several areas of country music. French and English styles are well known and have significant differences. The general list of directions based on the characteristics of life in rural areas is made up of country styles:

Distinctive features of the interiors of country houses in country style:

  • calm shades;
  • no frills in decor and decoration;
  • original crockery;
  • use of natural materials;
  • forging elements;
  • natural textiles;
  • textured furniture;
  • handmade decor.

Interior design in country style is characterized by simplicity and good taste. The surfaces of the floor, walls and ceilings are the same color. The kitchen uses non-factory made ceramic, wood and copper utensils. Forging elements can be used in country interiors. There should be a tablecloth on the dining table, openwork curtains on the windows, a handmade bedspread on the bed, and skins and self-woven rugs can decorate the floor surface.

In this direction of country house design, much attention is paid to handmade decorative elements. The interiors are mainly used in pastel colors, but floral patterns and classic checks are allowed.

To emphasize rural interiors, the design of a country-style wooden house in the country style involves the use of lacquered wooden and wrought-iron furniture, as well as textile and rattan items. Furniture facades should be simple, without unnecessary decorative elements and various monograms. In country interiors for the kitchen, sideboards, overall dining tables, shelves, chairs and benches made of wood look harmonious. Shelving with books will be relevant for furnishing the living room, small table and upholstered furniture. The bedroom should have a large wooden bed.

To emphasize the simplicity of this interior design option, textile tablecloths, curtains, bedspreads, rugs, and so on are placed in the rooms of a country house. In the color scheme, a combination of two colors is usually used: green with white, green and pink, yellow with lavender hues. On the windows of the bedroom, the curtains should be to the floor with special tiebacks. At the same time, it is necessary that the texture and pattern of the curtains be combined with the bedspread on the bed. The living room is used simple curtains on the windows and carpet on the floor. These products can be made of textiles using patchwork technique.

In modern country interiors for country houses, flooring with porcelain stoneware is allowed, but the most traditional option involves the use of floor boards made of natural structural wood. To paint the floor, stains are used and oil paints. Jute mats, self-woven rugs and animal skins harmoniously look on such floors. The walls of a country house in country style can be finished with wooden or stretch fabric panels, colorful wallpaper, plain plaster with stone or brick decor.

The design of houses in this style suggests an abundance of decor. Figurines, various dishes, candlesticks and other items will make the interior of different rooms original and individual. In the dining area, you should install vases with fresh flowers, and hang landscape paintings with rustic motifs on the walls. The country-style kitchen decor kit includes ceramics, various baskets, handmade jars for spices and cereals. The most original interior design of a country house is necessarily complemented by a decor made independently.

High tech

Modern high-tech country house interior design appeared in the late seventies of the last century. Today this direction is very popular all over the world. It is distinguished by unusual architecture (it seems that the building consists of several blocks of unusual shape with huge windows) and dynamic interiors.

The direction of high-tech design suits active people who surround themselves with conceptual objects. Making a country house in this style at a high quality level will cost more than most other style options.

Distinctive features of high-tech design:

  • Business interior with clear lines.
  • Spacious rooms.
  • High-tech interiors do not combine various patterns, ornaments and other decor options.
  • The texture of walls, floors and ceiling surfaces should be smooth and preferably glossy.
  • Cabinets in high-tech interiors are replaced with multi-level sectional shelving (with an open or closed design).
  • In the premises there are a large number of shiny details and metal elements.
  • The design of residential interiors involves the use of plain fabrics (including for bed linen), dishes and furniture.
  • Contrasting combinations of white and black are often used.
  • The interiors use original light sources.

The interior design of a high-tech country house requires a special attitude to lighting. It is necessary to provide bright light in rooms with zoning and the ability to adjust the level of illumination of individual zones. For example, in the kitchen, in addition to the main lamp, it is worth providing auxiliary lighting, which is built into the surface of walls, ceilings or furniture facades. This technique will emphasize the style of the interior and will create a unique atmosphere in a country house.

Furniture should be made of artificial leather, plastic and metal. It features stylish design and functionality. In this case, the number of pieces of furniture should be minimal. Prints with graphic and avant-garde elements are ideal for high-tech design. In such an interior, curtains and curtains are out of place. They should be replaced by installing tinted double-glazed windows, blinds and other similar elements.

Country house design in Arabic style: oriental interiors

Arabic-style interiors amaze with luxury and intoxicate incense. This design direction is based on centuries-old Islamic traditions and involves the use of handmade decorative elements, which do not have to be expensive at all. The task of such a design is to form the impression of a high level of well-being of the owners of a country house among the guests of the house.

The Koran forbids the depiction of the living world, and therefore, in the Arab interior of a country house there are no paintings and figurines, but there are many complex ornaments and arabesques. Patterns are applied to walls, ceilings, columns and furniture items. The oriental design of the premises of a country house is characterized by a large number of textile products (carpets, pillows, and so on). He does not accept minimalism in interior decoration.

Europeans do not always manage to capture the essence of interior design in the Arabic style. Pillows are used instead of chairs, and upholstered furniture is covered with bright satin bedspreads. The color of the living room is complemented by a low table with inlay. The main element of the bedroom in the oriental interior is a four-poster bed, installed in the center of the room. To place things here, low cabinets with openwork facades are used.

Emphasize the uniqueness of Arabic design and textiles. On the floor, armchairs, sofa and couches are bright carpets with oriental patterns. To decorate window openings, multilayer curtains decorated with lambrequins are used.

In modern oriental interiors of a private house, a large number of fancy-shaped lamps with subdued light are used. For a more expressive play of light and shadow, you can install lighting fixtures with heavy lampshades, forged chandeliers, openwork sconces and candlesticks.

Inside the Arab house there are no doors, so the doorways are hung with carpets. In modern oriental interiors, it is allowed to install doors with carved canvas.

Design of a country house in the style of a chalet

Historically, the chalet design direction has been associated with a warm, reliable and simple country house, which is characterized by a harmonious interior. This version of eco-style provides for the use of natural materials for decoration and decoration of premises. The interior design of a country house in the style of a chalet is based on a variety of combinations of wood and stone. In such volumes, these materials are not used in any other areas of design.

The interior atmosphere of the chalet cottage is reminiscent of the decoration of a hunting lodge in a dense forest. The decoration of stone and wood is complemented by fur, which is randomly laid out on the floors and benches, as well as other hunting trophies. In such an interior, stuffed bears installed as the original guard of the entrance group will look good.

The classic interior design of a country house in the style of a chalet is unthinkable without a large fireplace with a beautiful stone portal. In modern cottages, a fireplace room can be adjacent to a TV viewing area.

The design of a country house chalet provides panoramic windows, wood floors, exposed beams, stone columns, warm high pile carpets and sumptuous chandeliers. Such an interior is harmoniously complemented by solid furniture. Armchairs and sofas in the chalet house should be massive, upholstered in rough leather. Synthetic fabrics are inappropriate here and only natural textiles are used.

Lighting a house with chalet-style interior design has its own specifics. The light should be soft and, in some way, even create an intimate atmosphere, but at the same time the level of illumination should be sufficient to read in a chair by the fireplace. Dimmers will help solve this problem.

Minimalism - interiors that free up space

Minimalism is one of the most common country house interior design options. Distinctive features this direction are the correct forms, discreet shades, simple finishing materials, open window openings, free space, furnishing with multifunctional items, laconic light and a minimum number of decorative elements.

Minimalism is often used when it is necessary to develop an interior design for an economy class country house. The premises in this case can be finished in black and white. In addition, the judicious use of some bright accents will emphasize the airiness of the interior.

The floors in a country house, according to the concept of minimalism, should be concise. Several flooring options can be used here: parquet, carpet with a neutral color, laminate, polymer materials and porcelain tiles. It is permissible to use different coatings for finishing floors in different rooms, but their color must correspond to a single concept of interior design.

If there are appropriate opportunities when drawing up a construction project, one of the walls of a minimalist cottage can be made of glass. This will give a special flavor to the design of a country house, as well as fill its interior with light and space. If technically such a solution is impossible, then choose a project with panoramic windows.

The minimalist design is based on restraint in every element. In such an interior, ceiling moldings are completely inappropriate. As functional furniture, you need to choose built-in wardrobes with a large number of shelves and storage spaces. In a minimalist interior for a bedroom, a bed without a headboard will look good, next to which you can put simple cabinets. In this direction of design, mirrors of non-standard shape are often used.

The basic principle of the interior in the style of minimalism is impeccability. Finishing materials must be of high quality. Stone, glass, natural leather, wood and linen fabrics are suitable for cladding. If necessary, plastic materials can also be used. The principle of minimalism involves asceticism, which can be softened by light textiles: tulle or organza.

In the interiors of a country house, this style is characterized by a large amount of light. At the same time, its sources should be concise. For minimalist interior design, spotlights, floor lamps or sconces are relevant. It is necessary to ensure the illumination of all areas of the house.

Minimalism has a lot in common with high-tech design, but the latter direction has a number of specific features.

English classics in the interiors of a country house

English style as a modern trend in the interior design of private houses is characterized by dark shades of solid classic furniture, striped wallpaper on the walls, clear colors and high quality finishes.

This direction of interior design is replete with antiques, bronze and brass elements, noble wood and expensive fabrics. There is some arrogance in it.

This style is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau interior design of a country house, a photo of which can be easily found on the Internet. Tapestries, velvet, linen and leather products are used as finishing materials. Such interiors are easily identified by printed fabrics and jacquard fabrics, canopies and heavy floor lamps.

To decorate window openings in English design, heavy curtains with lambrequins trimmed with fringe are used. Despite the simple classical forms, the furniture that is typical for this style of interiors has a majestic look. Signs of English-style country house design include large tables, secretaries, heavy chairs, wood-trimmed libraries, and grandfather clocks. For the production of such furniture, mahogany is used, varnished with terracotta shades.

English interiors can be complemented with elements made in the Chinese style: bamboo-lined panels, porcelain vases, bird drawings on textiles and objects, porcelain figurines, and so on. Colonial features are always present in this design direction - shiny parquet, leather sofas and silk wallpapers.

When designing the interior of a country house in the English style, you need to take into account some specific points:

  • Wall cladding is done with wood panels or wallpaper with stripes, which are arranged vertically.
  • Stucco molding may be present on the ceiling surface and walls.
  • Elements of a furniture set should be massive.
  • In English interiors, expensive decor is used (crystal, forged, textile and wooden elements).
  • Curtains, carpets and cushions should be patterned with birds, cages, flowers, and so on.
  • A country house should have a fireplace room and a winter garden.
  • It is necessary to allocate space for the library.
  • For interior design, paintings and engravings should be used.

American style - modern and affordable

American country house interior design in a modern style is characterized by spatial layouts. This direction has been formed for more than one hundred years under the influence of a number of other styles. The design of interior design in this case takes place around the axis of the cottage. Space zoning is carried out with the help of furniture arrangement. American-style interior decor is predominantly done in beige tones.

Wall surfaces in accordance with the features of this design direction should be smooth. For their decoration, wallpaper with a not very large pattern or decorative plaster. Ceilings in this case are whitewashed and decorated with moldings or beams. Materials such as porcelain tiles, parquet, artificial stone or laminate can be used as flooring.

The arrangement of furniture in American interiors is not carried out along the perimeter of the rooms. Headsets are arranged in such a way as to divide the room into separate zones. The furniture itself should be large and solid. A large sofa will be appropriate in the living room.

To design window openings in such interiors, curtains are used from fabrics that include fibers of various types (natural and artificial). It is also allowed to decorate windows with blinds or Roman blinds. Lighting in American style interiors should be warm. Floor lamps, sconces and suspensions are appropriate here.

The design of a country house in the American style should not be too saturated with decorative elements. You can limit yourself to paintings, small figurines and flowers in pots.

Loft

The loft trend popular today for the design of country houses is far from a new style. It appeared in the United States in the twenties of the last century. During the crisis, many vacated industrial facilities, as well as various attic spaces, were rented out as studios and housing for representatives of creative professions. To create a feeling of comfort, the new owners of such premises furnished them with new furniture and decorated them with beautiful decor, but at the same time the interior itself retained the features of workshops and industrial premises. This combination subsequently became one of the most fashionable trends in the design of housing and offices.

The interior design of a loft-style country house involves a layout in which the dining room, kitchen, living room and auxiliary rooms are located on the ground floor. Brick, wood and metal in various combinations are used here for surface finishing. The presence of a certain material is determined only by the personal preferences of the residents of a country house. Loft style can be divided into two areas:

  • interiors dominated by exposed brickwork, wooden furniture and stone (artificial or natural);
  • design, including raw concrete surfaces, plasters, paints and a large number of metal elements (including furniture).

Country house living room interior design

The interior design project of a country house is drawn up in such a way that the living room is located in the central part of the cottage. This room is his heart. In this case, the living room can be combined with a dining room or a spacious hall. With such a layout, the impression of spaciousness is created and opportunities for interesting interior design appear. You can complement such a living room with a fireplace design, where a cozy atmosphere will be created for communication and spending time together.

The interior design of a neoclassical country house, a photo of which can be found in many specialized publications, involves placing a home theater in the central area of \u200b\u200bthe living room. Watching movies together is one of the most enjoyable family vacation options. Furniture in the interior of the living room plays a very important role. In this room you need to place soft sofas, comfortable chairs and other elements that are conducive to relaxation and pleasant communication.

Kitchen in a country house: interior design + photo

It is equally important to carefully consider the interior design of the kitchen of a country house. When planning a kitchen space, three most significant factors should be considered:

The layouts of country houses in comparison with city apartments have a much greater number of options. But at the same time, it is worth considering some specifics of planning decisions.

  • Open floor plan. In this case, in one spacious room, the zones of the kitchen, living room and a place to relax are allocated. To provide zoning, options with a bar counter, a kitchen island or small decorative partitions can be used. The open floor plan is ideal for combining the living room, dining room and kitchen.
  • In the case of a long and narrow room, a narrow furniture set (no more than 400 mm) will be required, occupying a minimum of space. In such situations, it is worth choosing furniture in light shades. The arrangement of the headset can be single-row or double-row, and dinner table should be placed near the window opening.

  • The walk-through kitchen should have several exits. If there is a door to the terrace from such a room, then it is worth installing a refrigerator near it, the products from which you can take with you to the street. In this case, the one who will take something from the refrigerator does not interfere with the cooking process. If you connect the kitchen to the veranda, then while cooking you can admire the landscape and nature of the site.
  • A square room is suitable for rooms of various functional purposes. In the central part of the square kitchen, you can place an island that includes a sink and stove. The refrigerator will be located in one of the corners of the room. If such a kitchen has several windows and entrances, then this will complicate the layout.

The most attractive kitchen option involves an open layout. In this case, it is necessary to think in advance how to separate individual functional areas. As noted above, options with a beautiful bar counter or with the organization of a kitchen island look ideal for a country house.
