During this action, the chest is in a stationary state, and the stomach protrudes during inhalation, as if filled with air, falling when exhaling. In this case, the head must be kept straight, the neck, back and spine should be located in one straight line.

Each exercise is performed with a special kind of breathing:

  • biphasic breathing - inhalation is carried out through the nose, followed by a sharp exhalation through the mouth. In this case, the sound "ha" should be obtained;
  • breath of fire - inhalation and exhalation are performed by rhythmic and sharp contractions of the diaphragm. As a rule, it is practiced in dynamic exercises to eliminate oxygen deficiency;
  • slow deep breathing - with this breathing, inhalation and exhalation have the same intensity. This technique is used for cleansing and relaxation.

Exercises for the spine

This qigong complex includes special exercises aimed at developing energy zones located in the spine.

Such exercises are available to absolutely everyone, since they do not require special physical training, so even weakened people can perform them.

Qigong Preparatory Exercise

The therapeutic effectiveness of acupressure qigong is determined mainly by the level of internal energy (internal qi or potential energy) of the qigong therapist. And although qi is invisible, the patient may experience sensations similar to a slight electric shock (discharge), penetrating deep into the bones and internal organs. The patient may feel warmth and numbness throughout his body. Before performing the presented complex of ten qigong exercises, you must first perform a preparatory exercise that helps to activate and generate vital energy and is as follows: stand up straight and look straight ahead, calm your mind, slightly cover your mouth, gently touch the tip of your tongue to the upper palate, freely lower elbows, relax your shoulders and straighten your back. Breathe softly and evenly, relax your whole body and focus on the dan tian (anatomically located in the lower abdomen).

Qigong exercise: shaolin pillar

Basic Instructions: This qigong exercise develops your ability to stand upright like a pillar or pile. Squat down with your hips almost parallel to the ground and wide apart. Throughout the exercise, the feet stand parallel to each other at a distance of three feet from one another. Bend your knees until your thighs are almost parallel to the ground. The toes are turned slightly inward and seem to grab the ground. The center of gravity of the body is located exactly above the middle of the distance between the feet. Then turn your knees slightly outward, fingers pointing forward. The crotch should be rounded and tucked in, the neck should be straightened, the shoulders should be lowered, the elbows bent and in front of the chest, the hands should be turned with palms to the ground, while the thumbs should be moved away from the index fingers. The rest of the fingers are slightly separated from each other, the middle fingers are opposite each other. Hands raised to shoulder level, eyes look forward to the middle fingers. Before finishing the exercise, place your hands on the dan tian for a while and then lower them naturally to the sides of the body (Fig. 2-1).

The exercise can be divided into several parts with pauses between them. Each part cannot be less than 3-5 minutes, and the duration of the entire exercise must be at least 30 minutes. At the second step of the exercise, being in the same position, you need to take your hands back several times and move them forward, coordinating the movements of the hands with breathing. When the arms move back, an inhalation is made, when they are pushed forward, an exhalation is made. At the same time, the qi in the dan tian is mentally stirred, moving up and then going down. The second step of the exercise can be done for 3 minutes (Figure 2-2).

Healing effects: The Shaolin Pillar Qigong exercise is a combination of internal (mental) and external (physical) movements designed to strengthen leg strength, develop good posture, steady gait, improve trunk flexibility and mobility, strengthen the lower back, tone the kidneys, and enrich Dantian Qi.

Indications for use: Exercise is very useful for the treatment of neurasthenia, insomnia, pain in the lower back and legs, and diseases of the joints of the legs.

Qigong. An exercise The strong man crouches and rises

Basic instructions: Stand straight, feet shoulder-width apart, body weight distributed equally on both legs. With the first movement, sit down, at the same time clenching your hands into fists and bending your elbows (Fig. 2-3, 4), and then rise. The Dan Tian Chi is conducted and concentrated in the fists and feet, attention is focused first on the palms, and then, together with the movement of the Chi, it moves through the Dan Tien and the legs to the feet. Breathing should be even, soft and coordinated with body movements. Repeat the exercise 9 to 18 times.

Indications for use: Arthritis, kidney disease, wet dreams, impotence, digestive disorders and emphysema.

Patting the dan tian

Basic instructions: The Dan Tian patting exercise is a modification of the Xingyi (Form and Thought) martial arts patting exercise, an important branch of martial arts cultivated since ancient times. Assume the Shaolin Pillar Pose, then raise your arms above your head with palms facing down, and in the next movement move your arms from your chest down until they are crossed in front of the dan tian. At the same time, visualize the yang qi collected from the sky and the yin qi received from the earth move through the body to the middle dan tian (located 1.5 cun ( universal unit used in acupuncture) below the navel), where they mix and condense (Fig. 2-5).


This exercise can also be done in a different way: the arms are raised horizontally across the sides of the body with the palms facing up and the fingers slightly apart. Then, using the right and left palms, perform alternating patting movements on the abdomen (Fig. 2-6), and finally, placing the right hand on top of the left on the abdomen and relaxing, concentrate the mind on the dan tian for a while. Beginners can do the exercise by breathing naturally and coordinating the breathing rhythm with the movements of the exercise; masters can perform abdominal breathing. Repeat movements 9-18 times.

Wellness effects: The Yang Qi of Heaven and the Yin Qi of the Earth will help to tidy up the Yin and Yang of the body and maintain a balance between them. This exercise enriches the Dan Tian Qi, improves the functions of the spleen and stomach, strengthens the lower back, and tones the kidneys.

Indications for use: Poor appetite, indigestion, urinary and stool incontinence, enuresis, wet dreams, impotence and paralysis of the abdominal muscles.

Strengthening the lower back and toning the kidneys

Basic instructions: Take the Shaolin Pillar Pose and, moving your hands from the abdomen to the armpits, describe a circle with them. With the palms of both hands, the qi is collected and guided to the lower back. Then, touching and pressing on the kidney area with both hands, enter qi into the back dan tian (the gate of life is the center at the mingmen point - Ts. X.). The movement of qi is regulated by the concentration of consciousness. Repeat 9-18 times. Breathing should be natural (Figure 2-7).


The same qigong exercise can also be done in a different way. After assuming the Shaolin Pillar Pose, straighten your back and lean against a wall or tree. Stretching and swinging the arms back and forth expands the chest, and gently tapping the back on the wall causes a shock sensation in the spine and promotes the circulation of qi and blood along the Du meridian and throughout the spinal region. Repeat 9-18 times (Figure 2-8).

Healing effects: This qigong exercise improves the circulation of qi and blood in the back and along the Du meridian, strengthens the muscles of the back and lower back, and tones the kidneys. If it is performed for a long time, the shoulders, back and lower back will become stronger, more muscular and stronger.

Indications for use: Back pain and lumbago, nerve palsy, for general improvement of health, physical hardening and strengthening of the body.

Strike with a cinnabar palm

Basic instructions: This name is associated with the reddening of the palms as a result of the concentration of qi in them; Cinnabar (zhusha) is a red plant used in Chinese medicine. Assuming the Shaolin Pillar pose, raise your arms forward to shoulder level (the distance between them remains equal to the width of your shoulders), pointing your palms forward, thumbs to each other (Fig. 2-9).


Qi moves from the lower dan tian through the upper dan tian to the inner laogong point (PC 8) located in the center of the palms. The palms with qi concentrated in them are slowly pushed forward until the arms are fully extended, or overcome (push) some obstacle. First, for example, you can use a paper barrier, then a wooden one, then a stone plate, and finally an iron one (Fig. 2-10). To increase the pushing force, when moving the palms forward, it is necessary to exhale, and when they are pulled back, inhale. Attention should be concentrated on the palms. Both palms can be moved forward and backward at the same time or alternately, performing movements 9-18 times.

Healing effects: This qigong exercise will help to strengthen the strength of the arms, palms and fingers, improve the mobility of the hands.

Indications for use: this qigong exercise can be used to treat dysfunctions of the joints of the hands, and due to the fact that during its implementation the internal qi is concentrated in the fingers and then released as external qi, it can be used in acupressure qigong therapy.

Qigong: exercises: Taiji ball

Basic instructions: Take the "Shaolin Pillar" pose, holding a round ball with sand in each hand, weighing about 3.5 kg. First, move the arms in a circle next to the body to the left and right, and then raise them up and down at least 100 times (Fig. 2-11).

With the next movement, rotate the ball in the palms of at least a hundred times (Fig. 2-12). The exercise can be repeated from 9 to 18 times in one session.

Healing effects: Performing this exercise, which at first glance is not very intensive and does not require costs a large number energy, at the same time can lead to a very noticeable enrichment of internal energy and an increase in the strength of the hands, palms and fingers.

Indications for use: Exercise is useful for diseases such as inflammation of the shoulder joints, cervical spondylosis. As a result of doing the exercise for a sufficiently long period, the practitioner can develop the ability to voluntarily control qi, moving it to the palms and fingers and then using it to treat patients with qigong acupressure.

Basic instructions: Take the Shaolin Pillar posture and hold Dantian Qi in both hands and palms. Making pushing movements with the palms, stretch the arms to the sides. At the same time, the concentrated consciousness moves along the medial side of the hands to the laogong points (PC 8) in the center of the palms. Then shake your arms up and down and turn your palms out into a support posture, as if you were trying to carry Mount Taishan on your shoulders (Figure 2-13). Repeat movements 9-18 times.

Healing effects: The exercise allows you to increase the strength of the hands and wrists, increases the amount of dan tian qi and internal strength, improves the physical condition of the practitioner and his health.

Indications for use: Exercise can help prevent or treat cervical spondylosis, stenosing capsulitis, and pain in the lower back and legs. When it is performed, the body is also enriched with qi, which is necessary for conducting qigong-acupressure therapy.

Dragon claw push-up

Basic instructions: Lie on the floor, leaning on the palms and toes, so that the chest, stomach and thighs are above the floor. Then straighten your back as shown in the figures (fig. 2-14, 2-15, 2-16). Sufficiently strong and trained people can rely on five fingers (or even three or two fingers) to keep the body off the floor. The exercise can be repeated from 9 to 18 times, depending on the physical fitness and age of the practitioner.

Healing effects: This exercise will help increase the strength of the fingers and toes, strengthen muscles and bones, and contribute to the enrichment of internal energy.

Indications for use: The exercise can be used to prevent and treat pain in the neck, shoulders, lower back and legs, improve the physical data of the practitioner, replenish internal qi energy for use in qigong acupressure therapy.

Pushing with palms with internal effort

Basic Instructions: Standing in front of a wall or tree, assume the archer's pose (one foot behind the other). Straighten your back and place your palms with your fingers naturally apart and slightly bent like claws on the wall (Figure 2-17).


Simultaneously move the dan tian chi into the arms and hands: unite and concentrate the mind, chi and strength on pushing the wall. The force applied by the palms should be steady but gentle. Then lower your center of gravity down and naturally move your palms back and forth (Figure 2-18). The rhythm of breathing and the order of concentration of consciousness must be coordinated with the pace of hand movement; the practitioner must stand steadily and avoid falling when moving the body back and forth.

Healing effects: Qigong exercise helps to increase the strength of the hands and fingers, improve the practitioner's physical data and his state of health.

Indications for use: This qigong exercise can be useful for repairing damaged joints, as well as for nourishing qi for use in acupressure qigong therapy.

Boy praying to Buddha - qigong exercise

Basic instructions: Take the Shaolin Pillar Pose. Lower your arms freely along the sides of the body and then gradually raise them through the sides to the chest, joining the palms together; the laogong points (PC 8) of both hands should be in contact with each other; the ends of the fingers are located at shoulder level (danzhong point (RN 17)); the elbows are slightly bent, forming a small circle with the chest, just as a praying boy does (Fig. 2-19).

Concentrate your mind on the laogong points and then move it down to the lower dan tian. Breathing should be even and natural. After doing this pose for 5-10 minutes, right hand pushed into right side from the body, and the left palm is placed in front of the stomach, then the position of the hands is reversed. Repeat movements 9-18 times (fig. 2-20, 2-21).

Healing effects: Exercise has a sedative effect, regulating and normalizing brain function. It also promotes the generation of internal qi energy.

Indications for use: The exercise can be used to prevent and treat insomnia, neurasthenia, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and diseases of the knee joints.

Final pose qigong exercises

After completing the 10 indicated qigong exercises, focusing on the movement of the arms, raise them through the sides to shoulder level, then turn the palms and lower them with downward pressure, mentally pushing the muddy qi out of the body.

The body should be relaxed, breathing even and soft (fig. 2-22). Repeat 6-8 times.

Notes and instructions for doing the exercises:

  1. A practitioner can perform any of the 10 qigong exercises described above, depending on their physical condition and ailments. It is better to do the exercises in the morning, after emptying the stomach and bladder, or one hour after breakfast.

Where did this name come from? Zhong Yuan is the name of the area where this direction of qigong originated more than 7 thousand years ago. Today this region is called Henan, in the center of which is the Shaolin Monastery, known to many of us as the cradle of Chan (Zen) Buddhism. The central peak of the Taoists, Sunshan, also rises here. And in ancient times, the capital of the Xia dynasty was located here, which, according to legend, was founded by the great Yu.

Today, the head of the Zhong Yuan Qigong School is the Master. Under his leadership, the School has become widespread throughout the territory. former USSR, as well as in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the USA, Canada, Chile, showing the whole world its effectiveness and availability.

The training system in Zhong Yuan Qigong contains three blocks:

  • development system, divided into 5 levels, the first four of which are available to everyone and are taught in the form of open seminars
  • i-xiang therapy (thought-image therapy, image therapy), founded more than 2 years ago by the famous doctor of the Middle Kingdom Bien Chue and officially recognized as part of traditional Chinese medicine
  • knowledge transplantation - a method when the teacher transfers his knowledge to the student directly, bypassing the traditional learning process

The steps in the developmental system are held in the form of seminars, where students learn the basic elements and methods to normalize health and develop special abilities.

In the first three steps, students learn the methods of recruiting, assimilating and transforming energy. Here they work with the main reservoirs of human energy, or dantians, the central channel is built, the special abilities of a person are activated.

At the fourth stage, students master the method of communication with everything living on Earth and Space, get acquainted with the principles of interaction between them.

What will you learn at the Zhong Yuan Qigong Level 1 Seminar for Beginners?

At the seminar, you will learn all the basic exercises of the 1st stage of Zhong Yuan Qigong and will be able to perform them at home on your own or in group classes. You will be taught to work with Xia dan tian - the lower "repository" of qi energy. Much depends on the quantity and quality of qi energy: your physical and emotional health, well-being, performance, and even the duration of your life. You will learn several methods to accumulate chi energy, concentrate chi energy, and use it. You will also receive the first skills in medical qigong and begin to learn methods of treating yourself and your loved ones.

You will study:

  • four preparatory exercises; these simple exercises will give you the opportunity to get rid of blocks in the body, make your body more flexible, open energy channels and prepare you for the basic exercises;
  • "Big Tree" - an exercise for gaining qi energy in the lower dan tian
  • "Yang Qi" - an exercise for the assimilation and transformation of qi energy in the "lower cauldron" (xia dantian), the transformation of coarse energy into subtle, jing into qi
  • "Small celestial circle" - an exercise to open the posterior-median and anterior-median channels
  • breathing through biologically active points located on the palms (lagoons), feet (yunquan) and on the crown of the head (baihui)
  • methods of initial diagnosis and treatment of diseases (medical qigong), such as:
  • method of cleansing and harmonizing the body with an energy ball
  • method of regulating the functions of internal organs (kidneys, liver, heart, spleen + stomach, lungs)
  • eye exercise
  • blood pressure normalization method

After the end of the Qigong Seminar for Beginners, you can attend group classes.
