5. Knead a soft, tender, uniform dough. We wrap the finished dough in cling film and put it in the refrigerator while we prepare the filling.




6. For the filling, we need potatoes, which can be used raw, or you can pre-boil them in their skins, in lightly salted water, until half cooked (this is exactly what I did). With boiled potatoes, the filling is more tender and crumbly. Potatoes must be cut into small cubes.




7. Next we need chicken meat. You can take chicken breast, without bones, but in this case the filling will be a bit dry. That is why I advise you to take meat cut from the bone, along with the skin. But, if you still took the chicken breast, then in addition, it is better to add 50 grams of butter to the filling. Chicken meat is cut, randomly, into medium pieces.






8. Peel the onion, finely chop and fry in a small amount of vegetable oil, until softened, and in no case allowing it to burn.




9. Combine in a bowl, chopped potatoes, chicken meat and fried onions.




10. Add salt, ground black pepper. You can also add any other spices to your taste.




11. Mix the filling, taste it and add salt if necessary.






12. We take out the finished dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 2 parts, one larger, the other, respectively, smaller, the ratio is about 2/3. Then we roll out most of the dough with a rolling pin into a layer, with a diameter larger than the form in which the cake will be baked. We spread the dough in a form, level it all over the bottom and make sides, 2 cm high.




13. Next, lay out the filling.




14. On top, on the filling, put the second part of the dough, also rolled into a thin layer.




15. We pinch the free edges of the cake, in the center we make several small holes through which steam will escape. The surface of the pie can be smeared with beaten egg yolk or a mixture made from one tablespoon of sour cream and milk. I also suggest you cook delicious.






16. The pie is baked in the oven at a temperature of 190-200 degrees, the approximate baking time is about 1 hour.
