Series 2 house project 57. Facade decoration and main design features

  • 13.06.2019

The next stage of industrialization in the development of cities with high-rise buildings was marked by the design and construction of houses of the II-57 series, which are quite common both in the metropolitan areas and in a number of other settlements: Tolyatti, Kharkov, Troitsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and so on.

The main features of the series are new technology production of external panels and connection of their joints (nodes), as well as a heating system without installing radiators, heating elements are placed under the window sills. Over time, in some houses, a series of heating systems with such an unusual arrangement were replaced with standard ones - radiators.

Multi-section houses of this series are easily recognizable by their facades with convex paired balconies. (although there are modifications of houses with rectangular balconies). This series of 12-storey houses has several variations: II-57-05 (nine-storey buildings) and II-57/17 (seventeen-storey buildings), the main difference being the number of floors. And it was in the 12-story version of this series that freight elevators were first used.

It is interesting that the 17-storey version of the houses was erected according to experimental technology - the buildings relied only on prefabricated reinforced concrete frames, so they began to be informally called "houses on chicken legs." Since 2000, work has been actively carried out in Moscow to renovate houses of the II-57 series and they are not yet subject to demolition.

Design features of the series and facade finishing

The outer panels of the building are three-layer expanded clay concrete 32 cm thick; the walls inside the house, which are load-bearing, are reinforced concrete panels 16 cm thick, and the interior partitions are made of gypsum concrete and have a thickness of 80 mm. The ceilings of the floors are made of reinforced concrete panels 14 cm thick. The entire area under the building is occupied by a spacious technical basement, where network engineering and communications.

Houses of the II-57 series are tiled on the facade (small, glazed or ceramic) yellow, blue, pink or light green colors. Heating, hot and cold water supply - central city networks. The disadvantages of the series are considered to be poor sound insulation of inter-apartment walls and insufficient ventilation.

Features of apartment layouts

The standard layout of a 3-room apartment has built-in wardrobes and mezzanines. In addition to the advantages typical houses series II-57 include isolated rooms and separate bathrooms. But the kitchens in the houses of the series remain small. positive moment in the II-57 series, the number of load-bearing walls has been reduced - there are much more options for redevelopment.

  • II-57 - 12 floors;
  • II-57-05 - 9 floors;
  • I-241 - 10 floors, without convex loggias;
  • II-57/17 - 17 floors.

9-storey and 12-storey buildings were designed with a difference of 5 years. The 12-story version was the first to use a freight elevator, the 9-story version had only a passenger elevator. The house has separate bathrooms, there is an underground - a technical floor. The disadvantages of the II-57 series include small kitchens.

Among the features of this series:

  • warm window sills (heating system without radiators);
  • a small number of load-bearing walls inside the apartment, which means room for redevelopment;
  • panel joints, new for that time;
  • for the first time, a freight elevator appears in series in the houses.

The designers refused warm window sills, and most of the houses came out without them. The houses are not listed for demolition.

House characteristics

Planning solution: Multi-section panel residential building with ordinary and end sections. The house has 1, 2, 3 room apartments.
Floors: 12
Living quarters height: 2.64 m
Technical buildings: Technical underground for the placement of engineering structures.
Elevators: Two passenger carrying capacity of 400 kg.
Building construction: External walls - three-layer panels (320 mm). Internal concrete (160 mm). Gypsum concrete partitions (80 mm). Ceilings - concrete panels (140 mm).
Heating: Central, water.
Ventilation: Natural exhaust through ventilation units in the kitchen.
Water supply: cold, hot water from the city network.
Garbage disposal: Garbage chute with a loading valve on the interfloor landing.
Additional information: The buildings have characteristic paired (or quadruple) balconies convex at obtuse angles, due to which they are relatively easily recognizable. The I-57 series has become widespread in Moscow and a number of other cities.

Residential buildings of the II-57 series have become widespread both in Moscow and in the Moscow region and are typical representatives of the second wave of industrialization in the construction residential buildings. The II-57 series has nine-story and twelve-story versions that went into construction with a gap of only five years. It should be clarified that in the twelve-story version, a 630 kg freight elevator first appeared. The construction of nine-story houses was carried out from 1964 to 1970, and houses with twelve floors were built from 1071 to 1078.

House series II-57 has paired and convex balconies at obtuse angles, which is why they have become easily recognizable. However, you can find versions of this series that have straight or triangular balconies. The outer walls are made of expanded clay concrete panels with three layers and a total thickness of 32 cm. The inner walls are load-bearing, made of reinforced concrete panels, the thickness of which is 16 cm. Partitions - 8 cm gypsum concrete. Ceilings are made of reinforced concrete panels 14 cm thick. Walls are lined with glazed small-sized or ceramic tiles. Colors are usually pink, yellow, light green, blue. The roof is flat with a drain located inside.

In the II-57 series, the latest exterior panels of those times, new panel joints and warm window sills (non-radiator heating system) were used. In house II-57, the layouts do not have so many load-bearing walls, so that inside the apartments, if desired, you can implement many different redevelopment options. Sections in the house from two. Under the entire building, a technical underground is provided for the placement of engineering structures. Two passenger elevators are installed at the entrances, the carrying capacity of which is 400 kg. In houses with twelve floors, one passenger and one cargo-passenger. There are four apartments per floor. Between the floors there is a garbage chute with a loading valve. Two-flight stairs are made of prefabricated reinforced concrete platforms and steps.

In the house of the II-57 series, the layout implies the location of balconies on all floors. Bathrooms in all apartments are separate. Bathtubs are standard, the length of which is 170 cm. natural ventilation passes through the ventilation blocks in the kitchen. The height of the ceilings in residential building II-57 is 2.64 meters.

Description of II-57 series:

The series was developed for mass construction on the basis of vibro-rolling production system engineer N.Ya. Kozlov. The first representatives of the series in the 5-storey version (1962) were based on constructive system similar series K-7. In 1964, the series was modernized by switching to flat panels of walls and floors with a thickness of 140 mm and single-layer panels of expanded clay concrete exterior walls.

Vibro-rolling production of products, based on a single step of transverse walls of 3.2 m, went from an experimental nine-story building on Zvezdny Boulevard (1965) to twelve-story buildings of the II-57 series. Simultaneously with the release of houses in this series, several large thirteen-fifteen-story residential buildings were built with various options planning and architecture of facades and built-in-attached shops.

Series II-57 is widely used in Moscow and a number of other cities. There are several modifications of the II-57 series: II-57-05 and II-57/17 which differ from it in the number of floors. The number of floors of a series of houses II-57 - 12 floors, II-57-05 - 9, II-57 / 17 -17. The buildings have characteristic paired balconies (or quadruple balconies) convex at obtuse angles, due to which they are relatively easily recognizable.
