Many lovers of making fishing tackle have already realized that plastic bottles are good, and most importantly, available material to implement their ideas.

I bring to the attention of readers a few more designs invented or seen by me from other anglers, and I hope that they will be useful to many.
Some of them can be made in a home workshop, others will help out if for some reason you find yourself in a pond without gear. Making them in field conditions does not take much time, and there are much more empty bottles on the banks of our reservoirs than we would like.

VERSHA-PAINTER

It is intended mainly for catching minnows and other fish species.
You will need two empty two-liter bottles, a sharp knife, scissors, an awl or a nail. It is convenient to use an electric stove to solder plastic parts, but if it is not available, prepare bottles for this operation with a knife or scissors.

The cut lines should be as straight as possible. From one bottle we need parts I and II, from the other - part III. In part II, using a metal tube 0 3-5 mm with a "sharply sharpened edge, punch a perforation on the entire side surface. Such holes can also be burned with a hot nail or copper wire wound around a soldering iron tip.
Insert part I into II, as shown in Fig.2. External diameter details I should be equal to inner diameter details II. If necessary, trim the protruding edges with scissors.
Connect the parts by inserting a corrugated packing cardboard insert between them, the diameter of which is equal to their inner diameter.
Press them with their edge against a heated electric stove burner, frying pan, etc. and rotate slowly until the edges are soldered, then remove the insert - this is easy to do as it has three finger holes.
The hole in the center of the disk will help to fix part I during the most important technological operation - forming the edge, providing the necessary rigidity.
Lightly melt the edge of part III to make it extra rigid and connect it to precast part 1+11 (fig.3).

In field conditions, you can simply sew the parts with a needle and a piece of fishing line f6 0.3-0.4. In the upper edge of parts I and II, use an awl or nail to pierce three holes for attaching the bridle (Fig. 2), which is fixed with a rubber ring mounted on the top.
Figure 3 shows the assembly and installation of the top. Do not forget to put a piece of bread inside it - it will be washed away by the current, and it will attract potential live bait from afar.

FLOATING GIRL

Figure 4 shows that this is one of the varieties of the well-known mug, although the tongue does not dare to call it that - it is still the same plastic bottle. To make such a tackle, you will need a bottle with a groove on its side surface. It works no worse than a traditional circle, and in some cases it even has some advantages: it has a greater windage, and, consequently, the speed of movement across the reservoir.

The clip for the fishing line is a rubber ring.
To prevent it from flying off during a bite, secure it with strips of tape in two or three places. The spring of the flag (for example, from an old alarm clock) is also attached to the bottle with adhesive tape. The flag can be made of any bright, quick-drying, and even better, waterproof material (a piece of mylar film from cookies is ideal).
Tie the main line to the neck of the bottle and wind it into the groove on its surface. Press the flag against the bottle and fix it in this position with several turns of the main fishing line, which, in turn, is pressed with a rubber ring.
When biting, the fishing line is pulled out from under the gum and unwound from the bottle, while releasing the flag spring, which signals that the predator has taken the live bait.
Further actions are known to every angler. The assembly and installation of gear are shown in fig. 5.

CASE FOR FLOATS

The case of the pencil case is assembled from parts III and VI (Fig. 6). Its dimensions can be varied using bottles of different capacities.

In part III, insert a foam insert with holes for the floats, it should fit snugly into the case body. The edges of parts III and VI must be given additional rigidity (see the top manufacturing technology).
Two pieces of elastic attached to the body and lid will serve as a simple and convenient lock for the pencil case.
You can make a pencil case with lids on top and bottom. This will allow more rational use of its internal volume.

FEEDER

For the feeder, you will need parts IV and V from a bottle of your chosen capacity. The body must be given additional transverse rigidity in the same way as in the manufacture of the top (slightly melting the edge). Among the various plastic containers, you can sometimes find a suitable bottle that already has the desired rigidity and does not require additional processing, then it will be enough just to cut it to required size and make holes on the side surface.
Cut the bottom out of the bottle sunflower oil. You can make it flat by taking any suitable (not cracking in the cold!) Material 2-3 mm thick.
Attach a lead weight to the bottom with a rivet, which can be made from a piece of a ballpoint pen by flaring its edges with a soldering iron. Connect the bottom to the case through the winding ring.
Fasten the swivel with a clasp in the screw cap of the bottle. To do this, insert the swivel into the hole made in the lid and secure it from the inside with a copper pin, as shown in Fig. 7. The clockwork ring 8 of the body can also be made from wire, and the clasp 7 from the first guitar string. Tie the fastener with a fishing line to the body of the feeder.
On fig. 8 you can see how easy it is to fix the feeder on a winter fishing rod with a mormyshka. You just need to make sure that the mormyshka is larger in diameter than the eye of the swivel fastener.
Finally, a few more tips on the use of plastic bottles.
Two plastic bottles tied with a rope, or even better with a wide ribbon, will help you more confidently stay on the water while swimming. They are also great for teaching kids how to swim. Pass the bottles under your arms so that the tape girds your chest, and calmly lie down on the water. Pre-adjust the length of the tape.
You can not tell in detail how to make a buoy from a bottle and a cord with a load. On a clear day, it sparkles with sunbeams and is visible very well.
In cloudy weather, such a buoy will become more noticeable if a sheet of paper or lavsan yellow or orange film is placed inside it.
In field conditions, it is convenient to store bulk products in plastic bottles - hermetically, and mice will not get there.
And if you are used to cooking on a stove, the bottle will serve as a light and odorless container for fuel. This is especially important for anglers-tourists who seek their luck in hard-to-reach waters and carry everything they need on their shoulders.
It is not at all necessary to carry the empty container back - it will burn in the farewell fire along with other garbage.

Homemade boats for fishing can be built by almost every craftsman. You just need to choose the right material and connect it according to the scheme. You can use such a device not only for catching fish, but also for walking along the reservoir. You can also buy a product in a store, but it is not sold everywhere, and the cost is not at all encouraging. You can make a boat with your own hands using the following technology:

1. First you need to draw paper templates according to the selected drawing, apply the contours to the plywood.
2. Sections can be cut using electric jigsaw or saws with fine teeth. In this case, special attention should be paid to the corners with which the parts will be joined at the ends.
3. Fastening of frames and transoms. To do this, you can use glue or galvanized screws.
4. Fixing sides, bottoms. Here, too, you will need a special strong waterproof glue. Additionally, the bottom from the inside of the boat is reinforced with a deck of slats. Absolutely all parts must fit each other in size. The chamfers of those parts that will be in contact must be removed so that there is no gap between the surfaces.
5. Gluing seams, reinforcing corners. In order for the joints not to let moisture through, they must be well sealed. Here you need aerosil, epoxy resin.
6. Mounting oarlocks and seats.
7. Grinding the outer surface. This is done as soon as the product is completely dry.
8. Homemade impregnation for fishing protective composition, its painting. It is better to use a special paint that is intended for a wooden vessel.

To increase the strength of the product, it is necessary to make the tailgate and frames from several layers of material. If the boat is equipped with a motor, then the board on which it will be installed must be reinforced with hardwood plates, and additionally glued with fiberglass.

To build a home "boat", it is not necessary to use wood or plywood. You can even build a device from plastic bottles. At the same time, the made apparatus will stay on the water no worse and is quite suitable for fishing (in addition, the master will spend less strength and time and money).

To work, you will need the following materials and tools:

• bottles (a small container will not work here, it is better to take products designed for 2 liters);
• glue and adhesive tape (they must be resistant to moisture);
• wire;
• stationery knife or scissors;
• plywood;
• wooden or metal crossbars.

The container is pre-cleaned of labels. Next, it needs to be made more rigid. To do this, the bottles are placed in the freezer, tightly twisted, and then placed in heat. The lids must be additionally fixed with water-resistant glue.

From the container you need to form "logs". You can connect the elements with an impromptu coupling, which is cut from the center of an empty bottle. The elements are fixed at the bottom. In this case, the protrusions of the other should enter the recesses of one container. Next, the workpiece is fixed with glue and tape. Now you need to cut off the upper parts from two bottles and put them on the necks of an already finished design. The rest of the logs are made in this way.

From these products, assembled in 8 pieces, floats are made. You can connect the fragments with a strong wire. Between themselves, the floats are fixed with wooden bars. After the transverse parts are ready, you can attach the plywood bottom to them.

To give a beautiful appearance to the product, you can sheathe it with plywood or metal sheets.

Among all fishing equipment, a boat is the most cherished dream of a fisherman. Moreover, the ship can be quite small. For example, folding models can be taken with you on a fishing trip with the least chance of not fitting them into a car. Most often, such structures are made of duralumin.

Additionally, you will need rubberized fabric, lining and rivets, wood, primer, wood, paint.

Installation of such products involves several stages:

1. Material selection. You need 4 fragments for the sides and 2 for the bottom. You will also need 3 crossbars: 2 struts to ensure the reliability of the structure, and 1 seat.

3. Making holes for rivets. The distance between them should not exceed 2 cm. All places where rivets were installed must be thickly coated with paint to seal them.

This modern version classic chute. Such summer gear is made from modern materials:

1. we take a polymer tube with a diameter of about 50 mm and a length of up to 60 cm. You will also need a small piece of a camera from a bicycle;
2. in the prepared tube we make a couple of holes. The first will later be used to fasten the entire structure on the shore, and the second is needed to fasten the fishing line;
3. we wind 15 m of fishing line on the pipe. We pass the free end of the fishing line through the hole of a sliding sinker weighing 15 g. We stop the last with an elastic band. At the end of the fishing line we attach a swivel for a leash;
4. to fix the resulting vent in the working position, we use a piece of a pre-prepared chamber about 2 cm wide.

Plastic bottle jar

This is the so-called hiking option. They resort to it when they initially did not plan to catch pike, but, once on the pond, they changed their mind. Making gear looks like this:

• a fishing line is wound around an empty bottle and attached to the lid with several loops;
• at the free end of the fishing line, several loops are made, to which hooks with a sinker are attached.

It remains to put the bait on the hooks, lower the tackle into the pond and wait for the bite.

It is not difficult to make a summer zherlitsa with your own hands. Which design to use, each angler decides for himself. All designs can be modified to your liking. Perhaps it is you who will be able to create the most effective modification of the tackle.

How to catch pike on a bait?

If the rig has been made correctly, there should be no problems with pike fishing. Fishing for pike in winter and summer is slightly different. In winter, you need to drill holes in the ice in the places where the fish are supposed to be. In summer, gear has to be installed near the shore at shallow depths. In the warm season, pike actively feeds and can most often be found near reeds, bushes, etc.

The vents should not be set to the maximum depth. It is better to set the sinker at half water or a little lower. In this case, the pike will see the bait faster, because her eyes are always directed forward and slightly up. If the bait is at the very bottom, the predator may simply not notice it.

Particular attention should be paid to the bait. The bait should be small. The maximum size of the fry is 10 cm. Before attaching to the hook, cut off its tail fin. This will significantly limit its mobility and eliminate false alarms.

The live bait should be hooked to the dorsal fin. Be careful not to damage the spine of the fish, otherwise it will quickly die and there will be no benefit from it.

After installing the gear, you just need to observe them and wait for the signal "flag" to appear. Do not rush to run to the tackle after it appears and do a sweep. Let the predator play with the live bait and take the bait deeper. Let the line unwind completely. In this case, the extraction will definitely not break.

If everything is done correctly, returning home without prey will be unrealistic.

This video is about making fishing line from a plastic bottle. Not ribbons, but ropes. PET tape is good for everyone, but it has a number of restrictions on its use.

To make such a rope, we need a bottle cutter, a screwdriver and a building hair dryer. The bottle cutter deserves special attention, thanks to its inventor, lawyer Egorov ( this comrade also did - we also have such an article. First, we cut the tape from an ordinary plastic bottle. The thickness of the line to be made depends on the width of the cut tape, the thicker the line, the wider the tape you use. Then one end of the cut tape must be fixed, for example, in a vice, and the other end must be clamped in the screwdriver chuck. We stretch the tape and begin to twist it into a rope. The tape must always be kept taut. If you let go, the tape will unravel. Now let's take a building hair dryer and heat the tape along its entire length. Due to the tension force, the heated area folds into a neat spiral, and when it cools down, it will no longer unravel. One piece of advice - don't overheat. Polyethylene fluorophtholate easily vulcanizes and loses all of its beneficial features. Please note: in order for the weaving of the rope to be uniform, during the manufacturing process, the tape must be periodically twisted. Everything, fishing line but ready.

If there is an urgent need, then you can do without a hair dryer and a screwdriver. Using, for example, any stick as a crank, and a lighter or a torch to heat the PET tape. But, it is better to use a more technological tool. Empirical observations have shown that the rope can be made from several layers of PET tape, such a rope is more elastic and stronger, but much thicker.

Now a few words about the application of such fishing line. As you guessed from the name, this line is perfect for trimmer lawn mowers and mulchers.
