Immediately after this, remove the container using oven mitts and place them on a clean cloth towel. Now carefully place the metal caps into boiling water and boil them too 10 minutes. Pour clean cold water into a medium saucepan and place over high heat. We wait for the liquid to begin to boil. Immediately after this, reduce the heat and pour into the container 400 grams of sugar. We put the compote upside down in a secluded place and wrap it in a warm blanket. We leave in this position for at least a day until the jars have cooled completely. Important: This also needs to be done in order to check the quality of the seaming.
